Or.. try driver sweeper and download the latest 15.7 drivers, will fix any issues and the latest drivers are pretty much rock solid. But yeah if its hardware related then a new GPU is the best way to go ofc.

I'm running the latest drivers right now. It's not overheating or anything like that.

It'll be ok for the time being until I can saves up some money for an R9 380.

Yeah, I was having issues with my GPUs. Turns out I was still on 15.5 beta. 15.7 fixed pretty much all of my problems.

Yeah I've heard alot of people say 15.7 fixed alot. I was using the beta drivers for about 2 weeks before 15.7 came out and had a couple of display crashes when using blender that would black the screen out for a couple of seconds before coming back on. Was somewhat annoying but new drivers solved it.

If only it wasn't an Nvidia 900 series card. They're reliability is less than nice right now.

    I'm an AMD guy anyways.

Reliability? The only game I'm having issues with is BeamNG, and I still have enough power to brute force past any T3D issues and get 60+ fps. AMD however will have horrible framerate issues with any game that uses Nvidia GameWorks.

There are no reliability issues with the 900 series, I have no idea why you keep bringing that up.

    How did this happen?

You must be talking about that new batman game or.. that new batman game. No gameworks title should have any effect on an AMD card unless it's a badly made turd. I also find it unlikely that you're getting 60fps on beamng maxed out on detailed maps unless you overclocked like crazy, even then a 980ti cant even get that framerate due to the old dx9 only atm.

I have the MSI GTX 970 OC, not the Gaming edition. it's cheaper because it doesn't have a backplate, but it does have a beefy cooler. So, the GPU sag is verging on unsafe. Like, the right corner is 1 cm lower than the left corner (where it connects to the pci bracket). I had to do something because the fans were clipping the shroud. My cables can't support it alone, so I have a pencil supporting the sagging end.

I have the 970 gaming, it also does not have a backplate but it has the twin fan cooler on it rather than the reference blower cooler. It does have some metal reinforcements down the side of the card though.

Grabbed an image for you, but its dark so i had use flash in combination with a smartphone sensor so they are a little blurry. Definitely need to do some dusting though :p

You can see the metal black bar quite clearly on both images. The card still sags though. But a back plate wasn't going to stop the card from sagging anyway, it would have been oriented parallel to the sag making it ineffective at combating sag and would have added more mass to the card. But its doesn't sag a huge amount. The two GPU's do make the rest of the case look a bit wonky though due to the angles.

    it's a disaster D:

my trick is to just make the other side of the motherboard tray messy :D

I would love to know how you would have done it.
    1. Cause the GPU's are gonna need power at some point and MSI put the power connectors upside down meaning i have to run the cables to the msi card like that.
    2. Cause there is no cutout for me to put the CPU power connector through at the top of the motherboard, so there is no other way to route it.
    3. The sound card needs to get power somehow as well.
    4. The bottom rear i/o slot has a usb 3.0 adapter in it which is why a cable needs to go from the motherboard and over the power supply, there is no other way to route that.
    5. The rear fan needs to get power somehow and it is a molex fan so it has to connect to the power supply. Once again, there are no cutouts there, so that is the cleanest route
    6. The CD drive is going to need power and data connectors to function.
    7. The same is true of the hdd, and the connectors are on the front side of the case due to the mounting system.
    8. The cable in front of the CPU cooler is for the cpu cooler fan, since im not going to leave it flapping in the wind it is wrapped around the fan.
    9. Most things are cable tied down. So that means there is nothing loose in the case.

While it looks pretty bad in that image every cable that can go behind the motherboard tray is behind the motherboard tray. All of the cables are pulled so that as much of them is behind the tray as possible. If it wasnt for MSI putting the power connectors the wrong way around it would look fairly ok, just look at how the 560ti is routed.

So yeah, everything IS cable managed and has been done so in the best way possible. But this is a 5 year old case that was designed for motherboards with the CPU power connectors on the side, with multiple graphics cards and a sound card and a USB 3 add in card it stood no chance especially with it being a very small mid tower :p.

    TLDR:
Computer cases have changed a ton in the past 5 years. Removable hard drive cages were not really a thing. It was an advertised feature of this case that it was possible to put a 2.5" drive in it. Also colour matching things wasn't a big deal as you can see by my old gpu that had a blue pcb with a black cooler with red and yellow decals on it. The side panel has no window either so you can be happy with that.
So its all very good posting an image of a fairly expensive nzxt case, the reality is that you would have to be a moron to screw up cable management in modern cases like that. But in the past clean cable management was not always possible without a dremel.

    For your pleasure :p

Probably worth adding that it isnt impossible to get a clean build in that case if you have nice components. Because yes, that is the cleanest build i have ever seen online in this case.

Fuk u, i was about to post mine thinking it was good then you post that with literally two cables :p

Anyways this is mine as is (ignore the old af 5770) just did all of the cable management earlier, dusted and replaced the rear nzxt 120mm with the fan that came with my old 212 evo and its whisper quiet in comparison :D

    NUAViHO.jpg

Even the rear isnt too bad (tied it down a little after this pic)

    vbhl9V4.jpg

Before. Just after i built it as a good comparison.

That's actually not all that bad. If I open up the concealed side, it's a bloody disaster. There's a literal rats nest in there.

I can't wait for my fully modular PSU. And some nice sleeved cables.

Modular makes a huge difference to keeping the behind clean. My computer would be awful if i wasn't using a modular psu. Although im not gonna lie i am using nearly all the cables anyway. All i could add is more molex or sata power connectors. Everything else is connected. Im using the stock ribbon cables which make things look pretty messy since they are very wide and when you need to turn them they look even worse. Which is why the back of the PSU looks messy.
