Well, I reserved a copy but I might wait a bit to download it.

I did questioned if BeamNG works in General Discussion and 6677 replied saying "Yes" and redrobin saying the apps don't work correctly (Not sure if he is meaning Windows' apps or BeamNG's), I don't really use the apps really, I rarely use the Winds app and Debug app.

Im pretty sure it was his windows apps that he was having issues with. Since he was also talking about the windows store.

Think redrobin was referring to winrt apps rather than BeamNG apps.

That's good to hear for BeamNG, sorry for redrobin.

I have multiple games on my PC, I checked for compatibility problems and all of them work but NFS Pro Street, which already is pretty much incompatible on Windows 8 and 8.1.

I thought it would be fine on 10, Windows is getting better at bringing programs from an older OS to their latest one, but still not perfect.

But if BeamNG is a no go I'm a no go, I've got a damn addiction to BeamNG (And I'll sue you for doing it :p) and can't live without.

ALSO, if I buy another SSD, how can I configure it to have 10 and 8.1? I'd like to keep both OS's incase something goes wrong (like my editing software deciding to goo *poof*) and still have access to my 2TB HDD between the two OS's without issues?

Create a partition on the SSD then install windows 10 on that partition (on the install screen it will ask if you want to install onto that partition).

Not sure how MS would like this, but clone the old one to the new one and upgrade just one. You'll have access to all drives installed in the computer from either OS. Even the other OS's drive.

I'm not planing on getting Win10 immediately, but will probably upgrade after the teething problems are worked out.
PS: I am told that my elementary school is still using XP. And my middle and high schools use 7.

A school using Windows XP?! That's a massive security flaw! if a new exploit is found in that OS, the average joe could hack it.

They are still keeping XP alive via a military contract with the U.S. Navy. Plus, that OS is 14 years old... I doubt that there are any new exploits to be found, and if there are, the only people looking for one would target said military's computers, not some poor elementary school.

As per the OP: While I reserved a copy, and the fact that I go to Penn State means I get the OS for free anyways, I think that I will wait for the first one or two big patches to come out. I know the dev previews got rid of most of the big issues, but once it's publicly released, I'm sure a few big exploits will pop up in the first year.

I've already been on it for a few weeks and its fine so far. BeamNG does work with Windows 10, at least for me anyway.

    :p

    I'm rather hyped for it.

It looks so cool Windows 7 + 8 + 8.1 = Microsoft made a proper operating system finally.

I think im going to miss Aero when i switch my main rig over to Win10. I quite like having the headers of my windows being translucent. Although it is nice to see that in the "newer" (read: not ancient) builds you can make the start bar use Aero from the registry. But i really want the full Aero transparency that would be neat, i also dont mind the new modern styling but i think combining them would be really nice.
