    hey, for anyone who'd like to force their pc to pre-load the pre-load stuff:

    did it and immediately had the "$Windows.~BT" folder show up (make sure view hidden files and folders is on or you won't be able to see it)

    and windows update will display progress if you'd like to see progress:

    Whoo. Finally got it to show up and reserved it. I don't care that its not on my laptops since I don't plan on leaving 7 on those anytime soon.

    Well it failed after checking requirements despite the Win 10 app saying that i am "Good to go".
    The windows event viewer wasn't really able to give me any information either. Im just gonna sleep now :p

    Got it to start downloading. 11%.

    I did get the icon to show up on my ultrabook, but the menu just crashes after a second no matter which one I click. Oh well.

    I really want to download Windows 10, but I forgot about the $120 thingo after one year ;_; I might just upgrade, but that $120 is going to kill me, what will happen if I don't pay for it? Will it just lock me out of my computer? or will it just not activate? and once I do purcahse the upgrade, do I have to buy it every year or is it a one time purcahse? (Looking at a business perspective, since this is the last Windows, they would lose a ton of money by making this a one time purchase, I don't see how MS can make more from windows other than people buying it once and keeping it forever.)

    no, it's free FOR LIFE, it's just that you can only UPGRADE for free for one year, after that if you still haven't upgraded you have to pay for it, if you have upgraded by then though you're fine

    Meanwhile, with Aussie Internet... 13/mbit down and 0.3/mbit up with a data cap like a phone.

    I F*CKING HATE MY INTERNET WITH A PASSION.

    I know some people here in Aussie Land have NBN with speeds reaching 100+, but I'm sure it'll never come to my town :(
