Flashing screen (previous fixes not working)

Everytime I try to play with the latest update myscreen starts flashing from the game screen to the grey screen and it's absolutelly unplayable. Apparently this used to be a common problem but all posts are from last year and the fixes (changing to borderless mode) are not working. Not in full screen, not in windowed mode, not in borderless mode. It's only happening with this last update and I've been playing this game since it came out.

Any help would be appreciated as I trully enjoy this simulator as a way of relaxing and having a bit of fun at the end of the day and I really wanted to try out this latest update.

Specs:
- Nvidea Geforce 820M
- Intel core I7 @ 3.1GHz
- Windows 8.1



P.S.: If a video is needed just ask. But it's basically the same as the problems some people had last year.

 

As with most strange bugs:

- Delete cache.0.4.1.2 folder
- Delete settings folder
- If that fails, re-install

 

Thanks for the quick help but uhm... is that the actual name of the folder or short? Because I can't seem to find any folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive whose name starts with "cache", I've searched the whole thing.
