So I am proposing a very simple idea: A real time paint/decal editor! Something like Forza has, which has premade decals and whatnot. It would allow selection of different types of paints: Matte, Metallic, etc, real time positioning, rotating, editing of decals, maybe a free draw tool, and maybe even the ability to take image links and use them to get certain decals on your vehicle?

I think this would be a good implementation because: A, It's a bit of a hassle to edit the skins of the vehicles(you need a program like ps or paint.net or even gimp, and extensions), it's quite hard to find the parts you wish to edit at times and I don't like the way the images mirror to the other side of the car without your control, and B, it's hard to alternate between skins without incognito's skin swapper utility, which I'm unaware even works in the current version as I haven't used it in a while.

I believe this could be a good addition to the game (probably in later stages, maybe it's already planned?). Anyone else agree??

Chrome/Gloss/Matte paint is already ingame. Use the "chrominess" slider under colour in the part selector.

Otherwise this is a good idea, perhaps eclipsed by other more important ideas like more than one sound for engines. ;)

Of course, but it's an original idea and it's pretty reasonable. And I knew of the chrominess slider, but I meant perhaps presets of each? the matte doesnt look right and surely theyd fix that

This would require a dynamic decal system, which IS coming for use with dynamic scratches and dirt.
