I know that much will change about sounds, but I don't know if you were guys planning to make an engine sound quieter and muffled. because now there is no difference between in- and outside. :)

Good question. I'd also like to see (or hear :D) different engine sounds when the muffler/exhaust is detached. This is suggested before, but I hope the devs will implement this :) Oh and horns..

Yes, we will have some kind of filter to make it sound different inside vs. outside.

Im really looking forward to the improvements in sound you guys are intending.

It surprises me just how overlooked sound often is by some film makers and game developers. Sound has a massive impact on how we percieve the virtual world we are being presented with. Try watching a video with poor video with good sound then try watching a good video with poor sound, you will probably find it easier to accept the first one as we as humans can process poor imagery more easily than we can sound

Interior sounds such as rattles, squeaks and other sounds would make for more immersive gameplay as well.

    ok, this i did notice.
also, when cars are fall down 'cliff', they often fall silently, as they don't make a sliding/dragging sounds (only the occasional 'crunch').
