    am I the only person who is thinking about that taco advert while reading that sentence.

    but anyway so gabe any chance of making the deadline for the barstow October the 8 as that is when its my birthday.

    the best thing about the deadline I imagined is that its in a month but I guess by my estimate it would be released around November or even December.

    How? It's exactly like the first render we saw, minus the windows.

    OT:

    I'm really interested in seeing the Barstow in proper lighting, plus I'd also like to see the Covet's engine redone like gabe promised...

    I would just like a bigger race track. hirochi raceway is quite small and doesn't have many fast corners / straights.

    While we're on the subject I want to see an official paved figure eight track with the ability to set up simple
    and basic 5-7 car AI on it.

    I cannot believe I never thought of that! that would be perfect, my computer could run it fine too seeing as I have a i7 5820k...

    Hell yeah, even I would get decent FPS. I just might give this a shot and would be easy to do.

    I used to use a figure 8 track mod in nr2003, there were so many cars it turned from a race into a last man standing.

    The only problem with AI at this moment is they go SO SLOW around fast corners like on hirochi raceway I can barely get them to go past grandma speed.

    To be honest I've yet to even try the AI mainly because of it's off and on status. I'd like to do a
    fig 8 track though and maybe someone can figure out decent AI for it.

    Also the ai would need a proper waypoint system, because as soon as they go across the middle they are going to want to turn left or right to another random waypoint, and sometimes turn around and other crazy stuff.

    They will want to turn around a bunch if they're simply set to random, but they won't treat the intersection as an actual intersection if it's built right. I can't attest to decalroads, but waypoints are manually connected, preventing the game from making assumptions as to how one path leads to another.

    But yeah, we'll need to see some fairly major revisions to the AI system before this can become possible.
