You could just do it like me and do something like my death block.
    The jbeam is really simple.
    It's only got 8 nodes, 16 beams, 12 coltris and 1 thruster.
I'd help you if you want, but not now, since I need to go to school in about 30 minutes.

Actually I kinda do. I've had a WIP tugboat that's been halted thanks to a differential power/slot glitch. It doesn't help that I don't know jack about torque curves and how they compare to real-world industrial engines.

If you're interested, PM me and I'll set up a private beta or send you the files.

Obviously the glitch is in the source code. Any glitch with any game is in the code. Nr and I racing do not share code though, bug is just coincidence.

I hate having to deal with things over the phone. especially when that thing is a bank, even more so when its to do with them turning you away because you didn't bring a form in, despite the fact that their website says that you dont need it and that many other forms are also suitable of which i brought in many of them. It makes things even more fun when they keep telling you that they are too busy to answer your call. At this point i dont really want to set up an account with them anymore, but they have the best offer :/

What makes it even more fun is that if you want to phone one of their branches you have to use a premium rate number, so in order to call them for free you have to call their call center. This then results in someone from their call center having to call the branch and pass information back and forward. Its stupid.

    EDIT:
All sorted now, i should add that everyone was really pleasant to talk to on the phone system, and it turns out that their website was correct and their branch was wrong. Super happy its done now. Also happy i didnt use the premium number since i was on the phone for 40 mins :p

After two weeks of I think I am finally settled into Uni. I must say that it is incredible fun being in college. It's certainly a lot of work, but it's fun work. Every day feels like a Saturday. Now that I've got my schedule down and my time management has improved I can hopefully be a little more active on the forums than I have in the past month or so. Life has just been crazy busy lately.

This is why I went with a course that should be as practical as possible. I hate theory work with a passion and would rather actually DO the work instead of discussing how it affects the price of fish in Singapore or some irrelevant crap.

That's a solid mindset if you're content with working for someone as opposed to actually running a successful company. I do agree with you to some extent that the boring stuff is indeed quite boring.

I meant the paperwork as in setting up finance stuff, student loans, accommodation and banks and so on.

As for my course, its something like 70% coursework, 25% exam and 5% something else. Im pretty bad at exams usually, hopefully i can improve upon that, maybe the course and uni life in general will help out with that slightly.

In May 2004, Papyrus was shut down, and David Kaemmer bought the source code and assets a couple months later for his company FIRST, LLC where it became the base code for iRacing.com.[SUP]

well copying 500gb of files over to a network drive is gonna take 11 hours. I cant just copy to another hard drive and add it either because its an amahi server and it too frustrating trying to add a second drive with files already on it.

So far the coursework has been relatively easy and entertaining. Of course I am taking introductory courses currently, so I wouldn't expect things to be too difficult yet.

Edit: In case anyone was curious I am a student at Purdue University. Boiler Up!

Got onto my next level in college, the games design stuff now. Seems decent so far although its only registration and setting up so far.

Shame it doesn't include full 3d animation. Would have been alot of fun to learn that.

Yeah, i will be doing games design and that doesn't include any 3d modeling stuff because it is (quite rightly imo) not within the scope of the course. But i think that the 3D modeling skills that i do have will probably be quite useful to have at times especially in terms of making any projects look a little more pleasing.
