Everything Windows 10 | General Discussion

I have had a great time with it on both my lapotp and desktop, everything works fine and it's fast. Just one issue with the trackpad freezing every now and again on my laptop. I will get it on my Windows tablet eventualy...but, the SSD is full. :/

Oddly enough though, my Dad has had all sorts of issues on his tablet, programs not working and not being able to save things, or saving them 2 times, or even renaming folders, and he is on a Surface Pro even. you would just expect that above all else to work...unless it is because it is a Surface pro 2 and they are trying to get him to get a 3.

 

Wait, the Oculus Rift doesn't work on Windows 10?!

 

No driver yet. But one will come

 

I also learnt that Cortana can set a reminder for dates other than just tomorrow or next week, I said "Hey Cortana" *BOOP* "Can you remind me in 90 days time to tell **** to share steam games with me" "Okay, on December 3rd, remind you to...?" you get where I'm going with this.

 

She is good...

it huh on phone she can even be set to do location based reminders, next time I am in high street st neots reminds me to...

 

Haven't upgraded yet. If you have windows 7 will windows 10 work on the same computer?

 

I'm confident if you have a "top of the line" 2003 - 2004 Windows XP computer, you can.

 

Windows 10 will probably work if you have Windows 7 installed on your PC. But if you upgrade you will only have Windows 10 installed, it will not be dual booted if that is what you are asking.

 

Not a chance. A high end 2004 PC would have an Athlon 3800+ (single core 2.4 GHz) and 2GB RAM (DDR-400). Barely enough to run Windows 7, let alone 10.
2006 though, a Core 2 Duo/Quad should run Win10 just fine as long as you have at least 3GB of RAM.

Pretty sure it only works in the US.

Its based on Bing anyway so I turned it off immediately.

 

At least I have the accent of an adult male rather than that of a child whos balls are yet to drop. Shots fired.




And no. Accent doesnt come into it.

That happens as soon as cortana opens.

Although if she plain isnt available in the UK then that explains alot, it does work if I switch to US. Shes available in the UK on mobile though???

 

She was fine for me before i turned her off.

 

Same here, works perfectly fine but I never use it anymore.

 

Ran windows update, no updates. Restarted. Bam. Cortana works.

 

My brother got some sort of extension for chrome for Cortana so she doesn't use Bing anymore.

 

I got cortana for my phone (downloaded the apk) and she's really advanced IMO.
She sung a song for me, congratulated me for nailing a tongue breaker, told me that her father is bill gates and even said the following when I asked her if she can speak german "In Germany, ja" .

 

Ask her if she likes clippy

 

Ask her about Siri.
