I originally just showed some pics of what i drive.... its a V8 RWD has a 3.55 lsd and tows jap scrap cars all day to the scrap yard on occasion.. its my work horse and daily driver... i was just wondering if anyone here owned a Ford with as much Miles as Mine since all ford V8's go beyond 400,000 miles easily.. - - - Updated - - - my 88 Toyota Cressida had automatic seatbelts but u had to put the lap belt on manually
Well, OK, but you were telling him what a pickup truck was.. and I drive a 91 Escort. Mine also do that but the shoulder belt motors have shit. The rear seats are safer. I don't even know if it has 267K or 367K on it due to a 5 digit odometer.
the civic my parents own they have had that thing since 2001 and had no problems I thought I would mention that the civic was assembled in Nelson the NZDM civics had strengthened frames and stronger suspensions for our rough roads and of course it had rust proofing as there was a big problem with rust in Japanese cars in the early 80s in our country. Is a pretty tidy car with 300,000 km and it still runs beautifully I will post a picture when I can.
If this is true (and at the wheels) then that confirms that my guess that Ford underrated the 4.6L 2V engine is true. Most estimates say 0-60 for my car should be 9.9 seconds. It did it in 8.5 when it was stock. I had a Infiniti G35 Sedan race me 30-50mph and I stuck with him. This would put my car around 270hp and 315lbs-ft (Flywheel) with its mods...
Pickup/ute it don't matter its just pickup here in the US.. and i had a 4dr 94 Escort with auto seatbelts the motor or the cable seized up so i just manually put the belt on.. very annoying it had a 1.9L i blew up the motor after alot of miles on it.. tranny started going so i killed her with a brick on the pedal and when that didn't work i drove it hard in the woods and rolled it few times... the better escorts had the 5spd and the 1.8 in the GT's little rocketships - - - Updated - - - well my truck stock had about 235hp and 275tq and a 0-60 of 11 seconds maybe or less... i have headers an bigger injectors and a different intake setup. ford trucks used taller aluminum intakes and the cars used smaller plastic ones for the same motors. ford rates them closely accurate but it depends on alot of things. intake+headers+injectors more power.. i am gonna change the cams next they are stock im expecting atleast 300hp and 350ft-lb tq after the cams illl upload the dyno results when i get around to it
here is what I'm getting (its not our car but it is realy realy close) some pics of my parents civic - - - Updated - - - more pics of the civic View attachment 74195 ignore the images in the attachments it was just a small accident.
I so desperately want to go "ew, Honda" but my own car is also a hand-me-down econobox, which I begged my mother for years to keep for me, and yours is probably in a lot better condition...
there is nothing wrong with Hondas except that this can be created from it but I prefer this look but not the colour
My uncle got his electric car yesterday (Renault Zoe). So naturally he took us for a drive in it today. I gotta say, electric cars are super cool, the acceleration is good as well as being instant and because there is no gears it just accelerates doing 0-60 in 8 seconds, but it doesn't matter what speed you start accelerating at, it just does it and it does it instantly which makes it feel really fast. Electric charging points are currently free in the UK as well so if you have one near your work you could drive it without paying a penny for the electric that you use, it also charges fully in 40 mins. Usually it would cost £2.50 ($3.80 [USD]) for a full charge meaning its still cheap anyway. There is also very little to break on them as well. It really makes me want to try out a Tesla model S.
Good luck finding a charging station though... They're silly rare. Although a few major multi storey car parks have them now and there are 2 on my uni campus.
Although i would expect this article to be quite biased it would seem that you do: http://uacrisis.org/27134-electrocars I also found this: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?hl=ru&authuser=0&mid=zK9CYv8zXHGo.kySRVdH2A6VE
4 individual chargers listed within northampton, all at car dealerships. Plus 2 on the M1 near northampton, single charger on northbound and single on south bound. And finally something listed as a supercharger but a decent way out of northampton Go to my home postcode, nearest charger, 6 miles, plus I know for fact that its for customers only so unless you are splashing alot of cash on the spa or golf course you arent using it.
