Long term project has come to an end.


It's the all mighty 8x8 utility truck: haul logs, transport goods, do some heavy off roading or just crash into a wall, you decide.

If you are wondering why it's named the way it is, I want to avoid copyright issues because I am associated with BeamNG (credits in game)

Installation:

Download ZIP. Put ZIP in 'Documents/BeamNG.Drive/mods' without extracting.
Your game must be updated.

You can toggle differential lock with "T" and toggle cruise control with "F" and change the speed with "H" (up) and "G" (down).
If you want to enable exhaust smoke, remove the comments (--) from the truck8x8.lua under the "--smokestuff" bit.

If you're experiencing game crashing, change texture quality to normal until I find a way to fix it.

Is it complicate to get proper names to the truck? I mean there wont be a problem for me to make a Scania badge on the steering wheel.
But for the Front Grill? Hmm. I `ll try when i have time.

Absolutely fantastic mod. Love it. The quality of the model is fantastic and so are the physics

Based on the thread not containing a brand name as well as the model not containing any brand names i think they are trying to avoid any copy write issues even if the branding is implied.

 

I guess you understood me wrong. I just asked if it's comlicate to get some neat Scania emblemes on the Truck by myself.
Not wanting him to do it as i understand why the Truck is unbranded.

Woohoo! Scania Power! Thanks alot for this. This game always can do with more trucks.

 

one little thing tough the cab is kinda weak i tapped a tree at 5 mph and bent it round

 

truck wins!!!

 

Had some fun already in some of these hairpin curves to and from the airport of Junglerock Island.

 

It doesn't drain your FPS and it's quite fast ( Not Underpowered ) , and has very Nice results at intersection crashes .

Great truck
One minor issue I noticed was the trailer doesn't actually attach to anything.


This is a blast to drive, love the little things like the hood etc.

Also, the doors still have the Scania Bird Thing on the inside.
