I think I've finally done it. I think I've finally found a girl who's legitimately interested in me. She's even told me she likes me. I haven't felt like this for 2 years. Things are pretty ok right now.
Ugh, with the AMD GPU restructuring and the confusing/useless iPhone 6s launch that's about it for tech this year. Next thing should be, what? An Intel refresh early next year? I'm finally reaching 1TB downloaded since ~April. Don't ask me where all that data went though, I have no idea.
so I just watched the godfather trilogy, Goodfellas, Casino, Heat and pulp fiction pretty much back to back. I then watched the Departed and I'm surprized to find it has a rating so high with everyone. Because I found it to be a slightly undercompetent generic thriller movie. What the hell? Maybe I'm being wrong in comparing it to the other one's I've just seen. and don't bug me for this being the first time I've seen these films, I don't often watch movies. but dear god, why is that more highly rated than anything else I just watched?

Honestly I'm very, very glad I have unlimited internet. (Though I think there is a cap at 1.75TB/mo) I think it's been a combo of torrenting a couple movies (almost 240GB there) updating multiple 20-60GB games, mod downloading, and general interneting. This doesn't even count the other PC in the house or my phone though. I'm thinking of watching Mr. Robot. Any thoughts on that?
Did all the intricacies of the story in The Departed click on your first viewing? I know it took me a while to figure out everything that is going on in that movie but even still I loved it. The acting was awesome and the story very well written. I think the others are also very good but idk I really liked the departed.
That's about 16 times aa much as I've reached last month. 60GB from watching like 10 720p videos with each being about 30 minutes long everyday. Im really happy we have unlimited internet, otherwise I'd be dead.
my plan is only 30gb a month mainly because of my location (living in a rural area far away from town) , the RBI tower was only installed last year and they are still paying it off and the RBI tower wouldn't be able to handle a large number of users streaming movies.
I understood the story just fine, this wasn't that complex. I actually managed to predict the story in some detail in the first hour. The thing that irked me was the cack-handed editing, and frankly De-Caprio's lack of any real on screen personality. Gangster movies don't have hard plots to follow, but they have fantastic personalities and characters to make up for that. I enjoy a good character piece. The story was fine, but I was let down by sub-par character writing. They where all just sorta bland 'archetypes' rather than fleshed out characters. It bored me, and the editing didn't help. How many times in a shootout does a car have to make the same J turn? But a good gangster movie has these big personalities that paint a nice, brutal narrative. In this... the protagonist and mr antagonist at the head of the dept' have the same whiney voice, they're only able to act well when they're shouting and being angry. None of the other actors I would say had any outstanding role that stuck in my mind. Maybe I've been spoiled by De Niro, Pachino and Pesci. But the characters in The Departed suffer from Starwars prequel syndrome where I can't describe them in any significant detail without using their appearance or their occupation.
