    Hello all,

I haven't bought the game yet as I don't know much about it. I've seen a few videos and seen that it is still in Early Access. From what I've seen, it is only a white background with a grid and ramps and stuff and doesn't really look like much of a game yet. So I'm not sure where it's going.

Is there still a lot of development going on with it and is it changing a lot as of now? And what do you all think of it as it is now? Is it something that is worth buying in it's present state? I have seen some images/videos of the vehicle crashes and damage and it looks really good. That's what got me interested in it.

I'll have to read some more about it before I decide to buy it. I'm hoping the forum has a lot of info that I need to make my decision.

    Thanks,

    Duuude

Check out the Steam Early Access trailer ;). There's always development going on :). If you want to get an idea of how it runs/plays yourself, download the tech demo.

Thanks Dummiesman. I was just gonna edit my post because I just seen a couple YouTube videos and they're showing trees and stuff. This is the first time I seen any of that so it's obviously more than I seen before. I will check out the dev demo from the link you posted.

    Thanks again.

EDIT: Yes, that video shows a lot more than I've seen before and looks like the game has been developed more since the videos I've seen a while ago. I just may be buying this now but will have to check out the demo first. So far, I'm liking what I see. :)

Also a thing to think about is you need a pretty good CPU and overall good computer. You can check the requirements here: Requirements

I'd say the game is definitely worth buying, especially because it'll be more expensive as development continues. The content in this game is amazing, thanks to the awesome dev team. :) They all work very hard, everyday so development is always coming.

There are quite a few different maps in this game. (and mods too) For example, East Coast USA is a very nice map, in a fairly rural area, with a small town and many roads. It's perfect for cruising. That's what I love about this game, you can go to literally any place on a map. The only thing that will stop you is something like trees, or the offroad capability of your vehicle of course.

If you'd like to look at development of this game, check out the dev blog, and the recent pictures/updates in these threads:

    Screenshots!

And like Dummiesman said, definitely try the tech demo before you decide to buy.

And if you do buy, always remember to only download mods from this forum.

    Have a good day. :)

Yes, this is something I overlook sometimes and because I have an older computer, GTA V would not run on my system. I have a quad core w/ 8 gig ram that I bought in 2009 and a 2 gig GeForce GTX 650Ti w/ windows 7 64bit. It's more than the minimum requirements for GTA V but the game hangs and doesn't start. I'll have to try the demo to see how it performs. Thanks for reminding me of that because I forget that it's an older pc and not up to today's standards and think today's game will run on it. I know it's time for a new one but my bank account won't let me upgrade. :(

Also, thanks to the others that replied as well.

I just tried it and the demo ran fine. Don't like the camera movement, up and down, tho, and don't see an option to change axis. Will have to play more to see if I can get used to it but so far, it's backwards to me. Tried doing the loops but the jap crap just slid off it. lol

Cool also maps with vegetation won't run as good as grid map but it should still be fine. It's a great game in the state it is now and there is a lot of cool stuff coming along soon:)

Spintires and FS15 ran fine. A bit of lag depending on which mods I used but was fine otherwise, if that is any indication of how strong my system is to run this game.
