A great update. I love the SBR4! But I found a bug: The Rally Covet spawns without a steering wheel and the racing wheel on the SBR4 is invisible (okay, maybe it's just me...)
No bugs at all (so far), it's just an amazing udpate! Many thanks to everyone making this possible! PS: I love the SBR4 steering wheel, so detailed.
My steering doesn't work in the new update (on any of the vehicles). I've checked the inputs, they're all fine, the game even shows that I'm steering with the steering UI app but the wheels of the car aren't actually turning.
Hey guys, great update, but I found some serious bugs: After the first start after the update I had the problem that in all scenaris other cars than your own were not visible. I tried the one with the delivery of the sunburst and i only saw the transporter. i could drive without a problem, but i didn't saw the car on the back of the transporter. Then I tried the Police Chase. Again, I only saw my police car but not the criminal. Then I started FreeRoam mode with the new SBR 4. I saw it and was able to drive it. Really nice car, btw Then I thought, OK, now I see the car, lets try again the scenarios and now, I saw all computer controlled cars and the load on the transporter. I played the Police Chase Scenario a few times and without me pushing a button, the scneario resetted itself and I had to begin from the start. Problem now: The SBR 4 is waiting at a start position and does not drive anymore. Maybe a game restart will help, but I havent tried yet... Would be nice to get this fixed with the next update. By the way, what was the key to change the ESC behavior?
My MOMO wheel (The old version with the red stripe on the wheel) is not getting force feedback. I've enabled it in-game, but it still says force feedback is not bound. I don't remember the last version it worked on, but it has worked before. My wheel is fine with every other force feedback games. Any ideas?
The SBR4's left front wheel locks up when the wheels straighten themselves again after steering to the right. The front right wheel locks up as well, but less severe. This does not happen when steering to the left. I have no idea what could cause this. I hope you can understand my poor explanation.
Great update, love the SBR. Apart from my some of my keyboard key bindings just not working until I recreated them, I have not seen any obvious bugs as of yet. I will say that you still cannot load a .mis file that has a name different to the folder it is in. I currently have to merge my fix with the current files every update. If anyone is interested, the attached files will allow you to load all levels with multiple .mis files such as Bedford or Lienz in freeroam.
When spawning extra cars the game crashes to desktop, I can't seem to hide the UI anymore with Shift+U The SBR4 looks like this after 60Mph crash in to a tree Only problems I have so far
We need your help for resolve the vehicle crash, some DX10 hardware have problems with new gpu shader. Plz, sendme a private msg in the forum for we can start researching your problem.
Not 100% sure if this is a bug or if it was intended in the latest update, but it is no longer possible to spawn in a new vehicle of your own choosing for a given scenario. What I mean by this is is quite simple. Say I wanted to spawn in a vehicle of my choice and preference for the short circuit scenario. Lets say I wanted to try out and test the SBR4 and what kind of time I could theoretically achieve in it for the given scenario. I would spawn the SBR4, press R to reset (which would start the count down timer), thus giving me the ability to accurately time trial myself using the selected car I desire rather than the stock Ibishu Covet. This is now no longer possible, as pressing R does a hard reset and reloads the scenario and the stock Ibishu Covet with it. I can understand that the scenarios are meant to be completed with the given vehicle provided, but I genuinely enjoyed being able to race any vehicle I desired in a given scenario and this appears to have been removed as of the latest patch. Is there any way and or means of working around this, or plans to re-enable the ability for custom car selection in a given scenario? Kinda disappointed with this particular game-play decision if I must be honest, but otherwise a great patch overall, especially the new tire physics.
I think being able to change your car was a bug and not intended. We redid a lot of the scenario logic, including the reset, so now it works as intended. In the future we will have scenarios where you can choose what car to use
