Demolition Derby A simple demolition derby scenario for the Derby Arenas map. It's you against three other cars. Participants are timed out after thirty seconds of not moving, the last man standing wins. There are four versions of the mod, shown below. Stock - uses official cars in their stock configuration. Stripped - uses official cars, but in slightly more derby-appropriate configurations. Modded - uses modded derby cars. Requires AR162B's Grand Marshal and Moonhawk mods, these are not included in this mod. Random - randomly selects vehicles for the derby, these can include mods you have installed. Re: Derby Arenas - Demolition Derby I like the idea, but it's kinda strange. It's a three car derby and the GM and the 200BX only seem to attack eachother, they do not attack me.

Re: Derby Arenas - Demolition Derby Wow, it actually works. Thanks a lot. i wonder how you get the ai to act derby ish. Its pretty awesome. Maybe have different setup with different cars and different area's of the map that would be cool. This is an awesome scenario.

Thank god I'm on hotel internet so I'll have 7 years for it to download this... hmmm, time to make another roast beef w/ horseradish sandwich (saving money). Edit: tried it out. Definitely a good idea other than the fact that the ai are too afraid to hit. Need to give them a30 second aggressive hit timer or something to keep it interesting. Also, I feel like we got the inline 6 motor and the tallest gears I've ever seen accompanied by an open differential. Don't let that all get you down though, you did a great job, very inventive and the ai are actually pretty smart! So good work, thanks for bringing playable Debby back to the game without extra lag. Hope to see more of this!

Re: Derby Arenas - Demolition Derby Yeah, I had to make do with what the game offers me. Until the developers A) re-introduce the chase AI, B) fix ai.setTarget(node) (currently gives a map == nil error) or C) make ai.startRoute(path) publicly available (yes please, at the very least it'd allow me to set the race waypoints as the AI's route), it'd be tricky to actually get the AI to do more clever stuff, like targeting other cars. For those people suggesting I should improve the scenario: I'm not sure what to do with it. I personally like the non-stripped cars, though I get that it's less derby-ish. I did purposely set up the scenario to be fairly easy to edit, so if you're willing to dig a bit, you should be able to make your own adjustments.
Re: Derby Arenas - Demolition Derby It's quite fun, although it appears less like a proper derby and instead more of a KILL-'EM-ALL while the AI does stupid, random stuff. Objectively bad is the fact, that sometimes they refuse to drive and get eliminated even if they were fully functional. Haven't tried to find the source of the problem yet... Nonetheless, great job. I hope the devs will reintroduce the chase AI in the next update; its absence is painful, and I don't want to mod my game back and forth every single time.
Re: Derby Arenas - Demolition Derby Would be cool if, when the chase mode gets re-implemented, to do this with some of the derby mods that ARB and others have made... Could have mod marshalls and mod moonhawks battling it out. Mod pickups battling it out, etc...
