I think having stock cars in the game would be great. One thing I have always hated about NASCAR games (except for NR3) was the damage physics. You would think that in the 20 years since the game has been released there would have been improvements in damage models. Being a long time fan, I always loved seeing the cars after a race, particularly at short tracks. I think have stock cars in the game would fully utilize the insanely awesome physics of the game.
Been there done that, this game is really next gen in physics. I can only imagine what a huge crash would look like on a speedway. Im also playing PCars...man I can only imagine if Beamng and PCARs got together
Hold your horses, because of the physics in this game most gaming computers have trouble handling more than 6 or so cars at one time.
Wow youre right! I added 2 cars only and I lagged. I run maxxed out on a GTX680. Crazy lag. I cant say I didnt expect that from a pre alpha. I cant even imagine how awesome the beta will be
I tried 3 cars at the same on my lappy, and it ran fine. Just minor slowdowns during highspeed crashes.
The problem is not the GPU but the CPU. Since i got a I5 i can just about have 4 cars in the game at the same time (with avg. of 25-35 fps).
If we are in the habit of suggesting NASCAR games in this thread, I would heartily suggest Dirt to Daytona, which came out on the PS2 and Gamecube. it's really well made and has some of the best damage effects (including having dmage actually effect performance) I've seen in a NASCAR game. Also it has the bonus of including 4 different series. Dirt/Modified/Trucks/Cup, I still play it.
