I ran this game on my $500 build, GTX 650, i5 3340S, and 4GB of RAM. I'm not sure how any $800 laptop would run this game. CPU would overheat and throttle.
PC. i5 or i7 4th gen and up (desktop versions!), 8 GB RAM (16 is overkill), GTX 760/R9 270 and higher. Heck, I even play it on 1080p60 on i7 3770 and my ancient GTX 580...
I play on an i5 3340S, clocked at 2.8 Ghz, and an R7 370. If it wasn't for the CPU I would max out BeamNG.
I can't max out because of the 1536 MB frame buffer of my GPU Point is, he asked for the best PC to play the game on. Sure, an i7 5960X + GTX 980 Ti would run it best, but that system is unrealistically expensive...
since you didn't specify a budget, here are specs I recommend: -MSI Z97 motherboard -i7 4790k -12GB DDR3 RAM -500GB SSD (them PCI e SSDs that plug into motherboards sound nice) -Nvidia GTX 980ti (alright, that's a bit OP but whatever XD) -Whatever case you want that fits everything
Waaay overkill. You don't need more than a GTX 960 and i5 4430 to play this game at maximum settings.
I think by the looks of it an i7 will do the job heck if my i3 TOSHIBA Satelite pro can get just under 20fps on low I would defiantly think an I7 will fit the bid nicely. I have been looking for a nice gaming laptop, the only desktop I could find on a typical electronics shop in my country was a HP 23" All in One Computer with only an 1.9GHz Intel Core i5 and Integrated Graphics. for anyone who wants to compare here's the desktop I was talking about and here is the laptop I'm looking at getting.
ASUS K501LX-EB71 I have it, runs Beam.NG Drive on decent settings at a good speed. Released recently, and has very good specs for the price. Can't go wrong with the 256GB SSD. $799 US at most places, $1149 CAD at Memory Express (for Canadians).
Keep in mind that the laptop has a dual core i7. Moreover, it's a U version, which is meant to be low on power consumption rather than focused on power. If you're really looking for a laptop on wich you can play games well, get at least an i7 4700MQ or HQ, and at least a GTX 860M GPU.
but it seems to be the laptops with those parts seem to be around NZ $2000- $4000 which is out of how much my parents are willing to spend. oh for the person who started this thread here are the recommended specs off steam if you haven't seen them. OS: Windows 8 64 Bit Processor: High-end Intel i5/i7 or High-end AMD 6 Core or better Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: GTX 780 DirectX: Version 11 Hard Drive: 4 GB available space Additional Notes: Gamepad recommended
as far as laptops go mine has i7 4810mq 16gb of ram gtx 860m i frequently get 70+ fps on ultra settings in the game if i put the game at a higher cpu priority (defaulted to below normal on my proccesses) it gets even better. as far as temps go with my pc it likes to hover around 60-70 degrees. games like gta v push it up to 80 but thats normal for mine. all in all my laptop was a 1100 dollar Sager which is the brand to go with since you get the most bang for your money.
Instead of giving builds, I'm just gonna tell you what you need: High single core performance. Avoid all laptops, all i3s and AMD. The game does run on AMD, but it's worse than on Intel.
i wanted to ask where you put the game on a higher cpu priority, since i can“t find that setting anywhere i7 4710hq 16 gig ram gtx 860m 4gb
I guess it looks like things are more expensive in Europe compared to here in NZ wait is 900M more powerfull than 800M?
Depends. Obviously a 860M anything similar would beat a 950M as an example. But if you'd compare an 850M to a 950M then the 950M would probably win by a very small amount. 860M VS 950M : 850M VS 950M:
huh I wondered why all the NZ$4,000 Laptops had 850m's but then I guess the 850 is more expensive then the 950 so I guess I have to go for 950 especially knowing money is steep in my house. Final question how much FPS am I guaranteed to get when I get the laptop me and my dad chose?
