Yeah, thats exactly the same with me it upgraded to 5.1 and it just went to hell in several ways. Im going to try and flash the 4.4 image too. In fact ive downloaded a windows 7 iso for a VM just to install the drivers to read the tablet since they dont want to work on windows 10. As for finding a download i think i have one narrowed down its hard to tell with the Note 7 as there are like 5 different branded versions that have some differences.

 

I had a cheap nextbook tablet I have gifted it to my dad as I have no use for it anymore.

 

I've had 2 when they weren't cool, went to a high tech company for business reasons. Entrance was like "What is a tablet? The thing where you put a cup on?" when asked for any electronic devices.
Sold them as i didn't really have any use for them once i got drivers license. No tablet today.
