I think as long as one none avatars uses like to the example.Nazi Flage, naked people or power-glorifying Avatars, is okay. I mean we are an international Comunity. There one should be already freer a little.

Edit. Sorry for my translator english

Or you know, no animated GIFs, they are entirely pointless and do nothing more than eat bandwidth.
inb4 BUT NUUUHHH WE HAVE PLENTY OF BANDWIDTH
An avatar is used to quickly identify a person, you should only be able to select a small 50kb image. :|

Are people really considering a pixelated drawing of a (clothed, might I add) girl raunchy? I thought people under thirteen weren't allowed to use the forums.

I think using a nazi flag as your avatar would have to be removed over legal reasons. I think there are laws in Germany that make it illegal to have the nazi logo on your website (or any form of distributing it).

So if you were to upload one to this website even in an educational context i think tDev would have to remove it for legal reasons.

But im not to hot on German law so i could be inaccurate or wrong.

Simply report these things if you find them inappropriate, we will investigate then.

If SixSixSevenSeven's inoffensive avatar was removed for this reason, then I'd like to report the Confederate avatar.

I've not had any message or infraction on the matter. It's just been stripped from my account without any warning.

it was clothed. It was clothed in Toyota racing gear. It's a 16+ forum. I see no issue. I see more issue in the white power connotations many associate the confederate flag with and even that I have no issue with.

I have entirely no issue with either of them.

Bible thumping "lambs of God" will be able to find issues with anything. Same goes for the overly politically correct people who get genuinely offended by the confederate flag.

The best way to solve this is not to censor but to let people choose what they want to use and just keep in place the standard rules.

I just went for a basic picture of Dredd but I agree that some symbols like the nazi stuff shouldnt be permitted because of what happened....
