I successfully got BeamNG.Drive running on my mac through Crossover :)

**after recent update, this no longer works... i have no idea why **

Also here is a quick tutorial I made for anyone that is confused: .

If you want to install mods go to ~/Library/Application Support/Crossover/Bottles/[Your BeamNG.Drive Bottle]/drive_c/users/crossover/Local Settings/Application Data/BeamNG.

just got it running also under crossover , also seems to perform a little bit better on battery than in windows on battery (#$%#$ nvidia optimus cr*p)

open crossover , edit the bottle in which beamng is installed , and install an extra application and select direct x new (it`s not very accurate i know , but this will point you in the general direction)

 

Um i did it and it came up with this:error unable to load game library c/users/crossover/local/settings/application/data/BeamNG-techdemo0.3 BeamNGSandbox x86dll. please make sure it exists and the latest directx is installed. guys can you please help me with this i really want this game can you please reply to this as soon as you can with help please thanks guys great job

Look up a tutorial on how to use Crossover, it's really simple once you know the basics of it.

 

I just bootcamped mine, downloading DRIVE now.

 

I also get this same error, can anyone offer some help or advice? Thanks.

no vid but a detailed description

open crossover , click in configure , manage bottles.
select "beamNG........."
select applications , click install software
install directx runtime - new (i also have direct x runtime 9)
and just to be sure , click controle panel and give the bottle a reboot (it`s still microsoft software underneath )

 

Ok it didn't work but i will tell you everything I'm doing and can you tell me what I'm doing wrong ok so this is what I'm doing i open crossover i click on configure and i choose manage bottles and i press + sign at the bottom left of the screen and it comes up with a new bottle and i name it BeamNG and i press create and after it creates i go to control panel and i press simulate windows reboot and then i do the wine configuration and i choose windows 7 but i can't find the thing for the mac driver box and then i exit it and install directx into the bottle and after that i install beamng into the bottle and then it shows the error message again what am i doing wrong or what did i miss please someone reply to this as soon as possible

 

Hmm, i tried to do this but it didnt work, it kept saying i needed to install direct x when i already had. could you be a bit more specific in the instructions please? i really want to try this game, but i dont exactly know where to install direct x. Thanks a lot
