Also, what happened to the little box that appeared next to the search bar when on a forum that let you skip to the bottom of the page or one response at a time. I really liked that.
Whats the point of having "Mods" in the menu bar? And having it in forums? I mean, not all of the mods even show up in the "Mods" at the menu bar.
@tjschel we will update the wiki data soon. and idk what you mean about the little box. @Roadside_Racoon its not finished yet
@tdev next to the search bar, there was a little box that showed how many posts there were on the page. Next to the numbers were little arrows. Some of them went down only one post at a time and the others brought the page to the very last post or very first post.
@tdev I get this on every post which uses full picture size. Sometimes the space is even bigger. I use Chrome if it is of any significance.
I hate changes, and I also hate the new look of the forums. It was perfect the way it was before. Why change something that's already perfect? You should work on the game, not the forums, nothing was wrong with the forums until it got changed. This new look is so confusing, and before I read that the new forum update broke the dev blog, I was looking for the blog for like 20 minutes, until I saw that it got removed temporarily due to it breaking from the changes. Sorry if I sound rude, but I really prefer the old look over this one, and also I really really hate changes.
Thanks for making it work, I manage to put the Vehicles and Vehicles in Development pages up to date. Although, I tried uploading an image of the Barstow ingame for it's page but it doesn't seem to work. I keep getting error 127. Here is the image: Link to the image on the wiki: http://wiki.beamng.com/File:Barstow_Oct_13,_2015.jpeg
You hate changes so much you wrote that twice in your post. Well, that really invalidates your opinion because you'd hate literally any change anyway. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I didn't like the old forum- it was plain beige and looked like a vanilla vb forum. Many members including myself have voiced their thoughts on the new look forums, and many of them have been positive and mature about the decision- (those two seem to go hand in hand, funny that... ). What's wrong with working on projects other than the game? There's no issue with upgrading the forum software to something faster, objectively more professional, and more "Web 2.0". Move fast and break things. There will be teething problems with any big change. Dev Blog is coming back, rest assured. You really really hate changes, so the devs should stop updating the forum and the game; the changes they make might upset those who are confused by new environments, are slow to adapt, and are terrified of progression. :|
Two things from me: 1. I don't particularly like the new aesthetic. But that's just personal opinion on my part. I actually like the standard vBulletin layout, as I follow several forums that all use it. 2. It would be really great if, instead of profile pictures, the thread picture was shown, like before the change. My 2 cents worth.
Honestly the forum is a good deal better than it was I sorta got burned out of the old one this one is new and its easy to find things here I like it...but thats me...
Even though the size limit on images were removed, I think they should come back. Someone recently uploaded 4 12K (and 240 MB) images to Community Screenshots and it made my browser crash. The post was deleted so no more freezes.
