Hi, this is a 1970 Dodge Charger Daytona. As of right now im the only one working on it. The jbeam is based off the grand marshal, except for a few that are made from scratch. The model is from grid 2 There is still a lot left to do but its mostly done. I'm planning on having 2 config, the normal 1970 Dodge charger and the Daytona. I will release it when its done so don't bother asking me for it. Screenshots. And i just made the spoiler. And fixed the small spoiler issue Quick screenshot of the jbeam Small update Changeable colors With help from, sergouil-delta88
thankyou soooooo much. i love the charger and daytona. could you do like a drag version. this is just a suggestion, but what you have so far looks good.
Why would you base it on the Grand Marshal....? The Barstow is coming out any day now and would seriously be a perfect fit, flip up headlights and all.
The wing on the back looks a little bit too small compared to the real car. If it was a little taller it would be perfect.
I'm sorry, but I'm hung up on some technicalities on this model. The Doge Charger Daytona was produced for the 1969 year, it's cousin the Plymouth Superbird was produced in 1970. The huge wing in the back was made 23" tall so the trunk could still open. The rear glass should be flush with the rear pillars, and I am not sure if this was done Properly in the model for Grid 2. There should also be some small air scoops on the front fenders right over the tires. Those scoops were used in the NASCAR race cars for tire clearance. That's what I've noticed so far... These technicalities really make or break authenticity for me (and possibly others). Please TAKE YOUR TIME to get the model and (probably more importantly) the JBeam correct. That way you can ensure quality. Thank you.
The scoop is a second fender, you can either choose between the charger or the daytona. i will fix the rear wing tho, i was counting on the model and i kinda noticed that i seemed a bit low.
You should definitely include the classic Stock car/NASCAR steelies, And of course the iconic Magnum 500 wheels, Also, like that other guy said, in case you didn't know the Charger Daytona was only produced in 1969 and was modeled off the 1969 Charger. If you know that and are just doing the 1970 because you like that year Charger better then by all means go for it. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see it in action.
