So I was playing beamng and my screen went black and there was a long loud beep, and after that happened after restarting, the squealing noise popped up. Does anybody know what the squeling noise could be?
I suspect it's the grease bubbling, but I really don't know.

It wouldn't be bubbling grease. I'm guessing the laptop overheated.
It might be the fan squealing or maybe something to do with the backlight. Could be something else though.

like a high pitched (15-20khz) electrical whine or like something grating?

There is no grease to bubble in a computer.

Some people call thermal paste "thermal grease".

if your thermal paste is bubbling you either have really crappy thermal paste or your computer is getting WAYYY too hot and you should check cpu temps when playing beam

The CPU will fail long before the paste burns off.

I get fairly good fps with beamng on it, despite the fact that it has an Intel core i3 processor.
But it does get pretty warm and the fan speeds up also

It's an almost quiet squeaky squel noise that's on MOST of the time the computers on

Could be a hard drive whine, could be a fan, could be coil whine, could be a lot of things.

Could be coil whine, nothing to worry about so long as the laptop is still working stably.

The laptop eventually had a hard drive fail where the hard drive would boot into windows 10, but I would not be able to log into any user account at all.
Whereas my PS3 made the low pitched squeal one time for a second and it was running stably

I would suspect something to do with the processor or something like that...

the fan then, not the processor, such deliberate vagueness is not contributory to support posts.

i doubt its coil whine but i think it might be hdd failure, you could have a crashed head or something bad, try booting the laptop to bios without the hard drive fans dont squeal much either, try booting your laptop and disconnecting the fan, only leave it on for around 1 or 2 minutes though, you dont want to fry your CPU that will eliminate most problems

Even my Kindle e-reader makes a barely audible grindy synthy sound when doing stuff. Have to put it to my ear to hear it though.
    And yes, I have a flippin e-reader. o_O
