Sounds a bit like lifter tick.

Does it produce smoke, smell unusual, have less power or get unusually hot? These are symptoms of a more serious problem, but lifter tick is just when the hydraulic lifters aren't getting enough oil pressure - this usually happens when the oil is cold/dirty, and frequently goes away when the engine is warmed up.

My suggestion: do some research into the sound, change the oil and look into oil additives for lifter tick (also called tappet noise)

This car does not have any serious mechanical issues, this is just a noise I need clarification of what it could be. People say it could be the filter (these engines hate aftermarket oil filters) or it could be HLA "hydrauliclash adjusters". Not getting enought oil when started. It goes away after running for a few seconds. Car starts, choke comes on, idles at 2000rpm then goes down to 1100rpm. witch is when the knocking noise happens till it warms up.

Hyundai's 2.7 engine has a weird dohc design, the exhaust can is driven by the intake can by a Chain. Witch could be flopping around in there

This thing has the right amount of power warm or cold. It doesn't make smoke. usually happens when its cold outside -witch is normal- Sometimes if I floor it on the highway (I'll try to get a video of this) the engine revs higher then normal. It goes to 7200rpm then swaps gears. So its in the red zone or redline

Tranny if full, oil is full, and coolant is too.

    Lifters are "hydrauliclash adjusters".

So you just confirmed what I said.

Engine oil is what matters, go down to the hardware store and pick up some oil and change your oil, maybe get additive for lifter tick to be safe.

I'd personally stick a magnetised sump plug in at the same time, was running one in the corsa, while its a minor/likely irrelevant thing, its at least some peace of mind to me

Just saying thanks for the help, oil thats currently in it is full. I always use synthetic oil . and what's a magnetised plug isn't it a magnetic one? The stock one currently has nothing on it concerning rust tl:;Dr it doesn't leak. Also the hla lash adjusters means you don't have to change the clearance between the can lobes and the valve. So the noise is from the hlas cause a tick from start up is from hlas due to not having enough oil pressure appon start up.
Also I don't know if they make magnetised sump plugs for my car(searches up to make sure...) Ah so I see what they're used for now... They pull away metal filings from the engine ah but my engine is a v6 2.7 I don't know if its the something as the one in my car. I think the drain plug is a 19 so I'll have to see about that.

I wonder if I take my oil plug when changing the oil ill try to put a magnet on the drainplug 'sense these custom plugs is basicly a magnet on a sump plug right?. (cause I'm gonna try a OEM filter see if that fixes the problem)

Posted using my tablet, please excuse English issues. (And I have acid reflex now great. I'm never eating garlic chicken again. Arggg)
