Issues with Genius TwinWheel F1

    I've been having issues with my racing wheel since the latest update, a Genius TwinWheel F1. I get no input what so ever. It is recognized in the hardware tab but I get no sign of input when I turn the wheel or press the gas/break pedal. I downgraded to the last dx9 compatible version and that solved the issue. I then reinstalled the latest update to see if that was the issue and sure enough, no input. Ive tried several fixes that seemed to relate to my issue but none of them have worked. Is this a known issue?

    Check if the inputs show in the properties view from device manager (or wherever you view gamepads, I am tired).

    Yeah my steering wheel inputs, Beamng just isnt recognizing it.

    Maybe your wheel isn't compatible with Xinput, one of the changes since DirectX 9 is switching from DirectInput to Xinput. I might be totally wrong though.

    I've read about people using the same wheel on updates newer than the last dx9.

    Idk then, maybe your inputmaps are messed up? Cant help anymore, falling asleep as i type

    Can you please run beamng with the wheel connected, then attach your beamng.log file? It's located in Documents/BeamNG.Drive directory. Thanks!

    XInput is a severely limited input system, which only allows a fixed number of buttons, axes and controllers. It works for those controllers that are structurally a copycat of XBox gamepads, and for not much else really... DirectInput is therefore still needed for the foreseeable future :)

    So you still have DirectInput implemented? :) I saw a Microsoft article explaining how you can have a program that uses both Xinput and DirectInput.

    Yes, we have had both DirectInput and XInput implemented for quite a long while now (it's the only way to provide proper support for both XBox controllers and regular PC controllers).

    A combination of issues, the most important of which is underterministic driver load times that may have been affecting several users like you. We can only wait for you guys to test the next version and see if it helps.

    Alright, I ordered a Twinwheel, it should arrive next week, then I can finally debug your issue properly, instead of blindly running in circles. Fingers crossed that it fails for me too!

    Thanks again Stenyak for being dedicated to solving mine and others issues. I know im not really known in the community but ive been around since ror days and haven't enjoyed any game/simulators since then. Ive been following beam since that first little video that was floating around on Youtube. Really appreciate the quick responces and the help that you and the other Dev's provide. You guys rock. 10/10.

    I have another question, are you aware of the console bug with the moonhawk? My center console has always been floating since the release. When I make turns it drifts around the interior and sometimes comes infront of the driver making it hard to see the road. Ill attach some screenshots later today.
