frame rate capping at 25fps regardless of settings?

Hi everyone,

I have been really enjoying the BeamNg Drive Alpha but have been getting very poor framerate.
Looking at the forums and the FAQ I have lowered my settings and disabled SSAO as suggested. Despite lowering the settings I still get the same 25fps that I did with the settings enabled.

It seems i'm not alone and others are having the same problem. Has anyone descovered a fix for this yet?
It seems unlikey that my machine is the problem as I believe it was within the requirements to run the game.

Processor: Intel i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz
RAM: 12GB
AMD Radeon HD 6900M Series

 

Can you post your GPU? That might be the problem, that CPU and RAM have no problem running this game

I followed your steps and disabled the body. I noticed that the game appeared to speed up but my fps still stayed at a constant 25fps.

I have resolv my lag with disable the 'body' and 'bed'

 

disable the whole left option graphic menu like HDR, SSAO, POST FX and so.
Test it.

Btw which screen resolution ?

 

I'm currently running it at 720p but the resolution doesn't seem to effect performace as I was running it 1080p earlier and was still getting 25fps

I have completely disabled the left option graphic stuff and have turned all the graphics options down to low and it has no impact on performance at all, It always seems to cap the frames at 25fps.

uhhh, now you need a dev for help i think. Your PC is stronger then i have (see my signatur) and i can run with all 3 atleast 30 fps :O

Hi, you should try playing in windowed mode. Worked for me.

 

Thanks for the suggestion, I've tried in both full screen and windowed but it doesn't seem to impact performance positively or negatively.

 

This as a known issue with the game. I get 25 fps too in the menu with an i7 870, 8 GB ram and a HD 7770. It is more though. It seems the fps counter is broken.
