laptop battery. ordinarily I wouldn't be worried, but this one had some damage from a previous heat related incident that melted a good part of its casing. I ended up moving it outside and ventilating the garage for a couple of hours, all seems to be okay now. i'm going to try to get rid of it ASAP.
That's a really strange angle to take on a solution for climate change. Guilting people for putting gas in their cars. How about putting money into researching alternatives instead of this goofy shit? Also I never said falling asleep in class doesn't matter. Pay attention in school. It's just not a huge deal when it does happen.
Its especially not a huge deal if both the teacher and you know that you won't miss anything during this class, and you are of the better students anyway so he leaves you be. Its nice when you can get along with teachers.
I can't say I agree with it, but I do somewhat understand where they're coming from. Some alternatives already exist (e.g. electric cars), and these need to be bought by consumers for the major companies to have any interest in further funding their development. That's the problem governments face in so many things: the only way to get companies to do what you want is to make it the most financially interesting option.
I've been working on a new addition to my image file format : Clustered 8 bit. Clustered 8 bit takes squares from the picture, and gives them their own 8 bit palette. It takes large enough squares to conserve filesize, and quality.
Well yeah, I understand where they're coming from, but its just such a dumb way to try and go about ending our dependance on fossil fuels. Guilt may work to get people to donate to animal rescue centers, but it's not gonna change the extremely widespread form of transportation that is the internal combustion engine.
Well, I think it's time I got back into BeamNG, and maybe start developing some mods for it, though they'll probably end up being half-completed acceptable-quality oddities to entertain myself. Also, I began to replace the gaskets in my Snapper lawn mower's transmission so I stop rusting and breaking chains.
That moment when your GPU driver crashes... 3 times in a row. I think I should either turn of the Overclock or I should stop having BeamNG and YouTube @ 1440P on at once. Or just a combination of the two. Maybe the new nvidia drivers are GPU-killing ones. Maybe I need a new GPU. Maybe I just killed my GPU. Who knows.
Down clock it m8, sounds like it's not getting the power it need from a lot of tasks. Overclocking doesn't really improve your performance that much anyway. You have to push it really hard to get 5 extra FPS. Also, General computer talk exists.
Yeah, maybe +350MHZ is a bit too much. Forgot about that thread for some reason. Thanks for reminding me.
Thats not quite true. You can actually get a fairly ok performance increase by overclocking on many gpu's providing they can handle it thermally. Recent GPU's will "overclock" themselves to a certain degree due to features like gpu boost but you can still push them higher if you want a few extra fps.
