Outdated Spanish Police Roamer Pack 3.7.0

That's right! I began this as a personal project but now I think it's worth releasing to the community, who knows, hopefully it will be interesting for some of you, at least for police car fans.

The pack currently features 14 cars, some of them are regional (such as Madrid, Cataluña or País Vasco, more details on the Mod page) and I'm planning to add more, at least for my own game, but if you're interested on seeing more, I'll gladly update the pack. I'm also open to any ideas or suggestions you may have of course.

All these vehicles and the mod itself are 100% integrated with the regular stock game Roamer, no stock files are overwritten, and they include the following unique features:

1. Custom name, image and description in the Roamer car selection menu.
2. Custom Roamer 4X4 XT base model with european specs (Clear indicators, wide rear bumper license plate area)
3. Custom skin and license plates for every police car, according to their real life counterparts, including details like handles and mirrors in different colors (body color, black plastic...) and glass decals.
   
4. Custom grey interior, with police equipment in the radio area.
5. Custom functional 100% blue light bar.

In order to play, first install the mod as follows:

1. Download the mod and put the whole .zip file without extracting the files to your Documents/BeamNG/mods folder.
2. Select the Gavril Roamer when choosing a car, and then select the version you want.
3. Tune the brightness of the color after selecting the car in the map you're playing, reducing it a bit so the skins look better.

Looks like a rather nice pack, but... I can't seem to find a download anywhere Might be me just being stupid, but I've looked over the post a few times and I can't see anything.

 

Oops, sorry about that. The mod is still waiting approval and I forgot to add it meanwhile as a direct download. Now it's ready

 

looks amazing, but can you try and change the police light bar to the original? become in my opinion, the blue light bar looks great with the fire roamer and the Spanish police pack the blue light bar looks weird with the police roamer, and fix the white turn indicators. if you cant do that, then just leave it how it is for now.

 

Well, as I said you can delete the blue light bar from the zip file, the Fire Roamer is a problem I acknowledge, since it uses 2 red sets of the bar file, and of course, by changing all to blue, it means this happens...I'm currently trying to modify the mod so it only uses these 2 changes in the Police pack, not the stock cars, if I can't manage to do it, I'll delete them for good.

The white indicators it's not a bug, I said it was intended as well, I think it helps with the looks but can be deleted as well for now.

EDIT: I deleted the clear lenses and blue lightbar both in the mod resource page and here, so just download it again and everything will work right again.

 

thx. although, do you have the skills to make the Spanish police roamer pack into a separate mod? so it doesn't merge into the official Garvil D-series/Roamer? (you don't rly have to do this if you don't want to)

Updated to 1.2!

• Now added as a separate vehicle, with custom images, names and descriptions for every car.
• Every car now has the proper shade of white as standard, so you only have to doble-click the car you want without having to change the color later.
  
• All Spanish Police Roamers now feature, apart from clear indicators, color-coded trim plastics and mirrors (Handles painted depending on the skin).
• Added a grey interior for all cars, as well as a police scanner and buttons, replacing the standard radio.

New update! Now things are more serious, thanks to machine, and a lot of effort, I bring you 2.0:



Custom base Roamer, custom interior, custom license plates, custom lightbar...something really special, I'm sure about it.

 

this is a really good update! I love it already. expect one thing, what bugs me is the European license plate. It goes through the bumper kind of. but then again, It's really awesome, and have some screenshots!

Well, that happens after a great zoom is applied to the camera, like in your pictures, can't really do much about it right now... it's more like the plate is starting to vanish rather than clipping, I'll try to add thickness to the plates for a next update, and see if it helps.

 

alright I heard you, don't move the plate I'm happy where it is right now.

 

Good news, I managed to make the plates thick enough so that problem will never happen again. The update is still pending, but AFAIK some mods are being held because of a new update, so in the meantime, I'll update the download link here.

Have you tried deleting your cache? That could be a problem. Either way, with the new update the car is currently "broken":



I will try to update it asap. For now the only thing failing is every glass when seen from inside, and from outside as well when broken, so it shouldn't be hard.

Have you downloaded the attached file in the first message? It's the 2.2 updated version, it's still not approved in the mod page. The 2.0 version will have several problems including that one.

If you tried it and still fails, try deleting your cache, the mod works 100% fine to me.
