Well, reinstalling Beam because I went on an angry hizzy and deleted too many things trying to get betatester's Roamer Sport Mod to work.

    I'm a freaking idiot.

Am I the only one who liked jeepster? I mean, he could really screw up moderation sometimes, but I think he was a mostly reasonable guy if a bit of an unreasonable mod.

The forums are still around, but one of the most active threads (what DID you do today) had it's last post a week ago. I log in about once a month, but the last time I posted was 3 weeks ago, and before that I think it was more than 3 months. Last time I updated anything on my profile was over a year ago. Kinda sad

Jeepster has posted a thread titled "It's not the end." in the Rigs of Rods forums. Only few people have commented on it because of such an overwhelming amount of goodbyes and farewells also posted on the website...as of this message it's not quite archived yet, but many uploading functionalities have been locked down and a few features of the site are glitchy still.

However, he does claim the decline happened shortly after an incident with someone (or something, I don't know) by the name Artem, and how activity has all but stopped since then. I have a guess as to what happened, but I have no final answers of what actually did happen unless my brain is being stupid right now and not letting me dust off some previous information.

I very much agree. I just restored a once-useless LG R130 recently and for the first week it was running, I had a 80GB WD 5400RPM 3 gbps mechanical hard drive installed, then I picked up a 120 GB ADATA 6 gbps SSD and transferred my installation of Windows 7 Home Premium to it. After fixing a couple of mild kinks here and there, the laptop could not be any more splendid.

(There was more here but I was scared of it being too long as per thread rules)

After great success from the first one, I made another General Stupid Moments video, featuring D-Dog flying through walls and the A-Team. (Fair but of cussing)

I was the first to comment in that thread.

I hope someone will answer my questions.

    1. will the RoR forum ever "open" again, if the forum decideds to "grow" or is it archived for good?

    2. Will there be a day when they will be no more RoR forum and its shut down for good?

I really hope RoR development doesn't stop (forum or not), I just can't see a project that's been going on for 10 years just "drop everything" and leave kind of thing with very to little notice.

Yes the RoR the forum has died down a bit in the past few years and its had its ups and downs, with experienced modders leaving/moving on to BNG etc etc.

No matter, there is always a select few modders/ members browsing the forums and creating mods at any given moment.

I am logged on and I browse the RoR daily, and if and when the last day comes for the RoR forums I will be there until the servers go offline for good and when I reload that main RoR home page and it says "cannot connect", I will know that RoR went down with a bang lol

I know I sound like a very odd person but I guess that's what you feel like like after so many years of learning and enjoyment off of a game I found when I searched up "free games" on Youtube back in 2010.

Yes the forum is locked down, only general chat is open.

You can read a few threads on the situation in general chat.

He says the current devs will continue development, we will see what happens.

Im thinking what Jeepster is trying to say is he can not be moderating due to the face That he is doing a long haul load And he needs the time to focus on driving. I know the feeling because when my father drives truck and comes home from a long haul he is very tired and stressed out. Everybody should just give him a break, because really he is doing his job and a dam good way of it. Trying to balance truck driving and moderating and his personal life can be difficult.. I from what i understand is that The fourms will be opened up with two conditions. 1.good attitude on the fourm 2. that he can get a handle on his work. I would say everything is going to be all right.. It would be nice if all the members had a change in attitude. Just give jeepster a break. Thats alot to handle...

/r/globaloffensive is combusting because of the new R8 Revolver introduced into CS:GO. That gun has completely broken the game. Good job, Valve.

This should be fun when I get home. Hopefully it's a little easier to use than the Desert Eagle.

Id like the r8 revolver if it was only slightly more powerful than the deagle at maybe 90 body damage and a definite headshot kill. Not fricken 500 damage to the torso. I can substitute that for a AWP its so op.

just did a few competitive matches r8 only to see what's what
I couldn't be glad i was more wrong.
That thing is extremely fun to play with, and totally not overpowered.
It takes a lot of experience to know when to fire it in which mode, and it is hard to master. Kind of like the CZ, everybody was mad about it being OP but it is not at all, you just watch and see this whole thing calm down.
    It is just so awesome

I love that feeling when you have been trying to nail down an algorithm for hours and you finally get it. Turns out in this case it was having an eureka moment when i realized that what i was trying to do (compare 26 histograms [which all contain identical data but shifted 1 space] against a base histogram) could be simplified vastly to comparing a single data point on each histogram since all data was identical.

On the other hand it would have felt even better if it worked the first time :p

It's ok, Lord Gaben punished me when I opened a CS Revolver Case. It went right by a stat-track AK and an R8 Revolver Fade. As a result I got some shitty field-tested AUG.

    The R8 is OP. Period.

It was me vs 3 AK's on long. I left clicked the first bloke, flicked to guy on my right, silenced him with the right click of doom and at last, I sniped the guy in pit with the mighty dangerous left click.

No missed shots. I think it needs a small nerf. Just a small one.

Actually what happened. Ignore the music if you like but it sums it up. You've probably already seen it, but whatever.

FYI, there is a bit of software called "YouNeedABudget" (YNAB) that is pretty handy for managing money. This software is also provided for free if you are a student.
