Anyone else think this forum is turning to S***

I know it sounds bad, but the influx of new users that just S***post all the time pisses me off. I know there is an age limit, but there needs to be a maturity limit. I joined this forum when I was 14, 2 and a bit years ago. But no one could tell my actual age because I made sure to only post after thinking it out thoroughly (which I'[m not doing now, irony :') ).

In the last two days, I have seen two separate users post/spam threads, to the point where people have to step in multiple times. (one was spamming new threads, one was commenting a lot and then throwing a tantrum).

Ahh, I don't know, I just miss the old forums, back in '13, with MrHeyF***Off(hadacoolname), 6677, Hati, Dkutch, drowsy, Moose-somthing (i forgot). You know, where we could actually have a mature discussion about the game, and not all the new car threads were spammed with "this car looks like x"

I think this is the reason I mainly only visit this forum for mods now, and it saddens me.

 

They should make it so that it's complicated to register etc. so that only people who actually care get posting privileges. There should still be a section for everyone to post, still. Also that a user must get evaluated (or something like that) before they get posting permissions.

 

Yeah, but that would be hard to develop and manage

The community is going downhill rapidly, especially with over-posting. There are some users registered in September who have more than twice as many posts as me. The majority of them drivel, I might add.

I used to have a post vs day ratio of like 1.5, its like 0.8 ish now

 

The issue isn't the amount of posts, it's the usefulness/helpfulness/etc. of them.

 

Yep. I am seeing a lot more chains of posts, from people who have been told already not to. (not going to name names, although we all probably know who I am talking about).
