Here's a car what was sold by the police for civilian use. If you look closely, you can still see the logos, the paint that was under the stickers was hidden from the sun exposure

I've never really explored Jungle Island properly. So I decided to do that today.

I see a Peterbilt 351 (Hank), Buick Special/Oldsmobile 88/Pontiac Chieftain/Pontiac Custom/Chrysler DeLuxe/Plymouth DeLuxe/Chevrolet Deluxe (Burnside Special), Cadillac Series 62/Cadillac Eldorado (They were the same car, just different trim levels/options/eras), and a 1910s/1920s Rolls Royce/1927 Auriga Heron. The reason why the Burnside resembles so many cars (aside the obvious fact that it's based on a "generic" 1940s/1950s car,) is that Chrysler owned Plymouth, Pontiac, Chevrolet, and Buick during the 1950s era. My only question is for this pic, what map is that?

My only complaint for it, is you can't choose the interior and exterior colors independently, even though it was pretty standard to be "lazy" and buy a car off the lot, which had matching interior and exterior. You still had the option to choose options... many, many options, some of which included:

    Power Steering
    AM/FM Radio
    AM Radio
    No Radio
Vanity Set (the glove box would fold out into a VERY small vanity...)
    Glove Box
    Dashboard Clock
    Cruise Control
14x6 Wheels w/Whitewall (Invert Whitewall? [Yes] [No]) --(Inverting the whitewall, meant the tire would be installed backwards, to the whitewall was not visible... it would look like a modern-day Blackwall)
14x7 Wheels w/Whitewall (Invert Whitewall? [Yes] [No])
15x6 Wheels w/Whitewall (Invert Whitewall? [Yes] [No])
15x7 Wheels w/Whitewall (Invert Whitewall? [Yes] [No])

You literally would be handed a 3 to 8 page stack of papers (if it were single-sided printing, they were usually double-sided to save paper, and anxiety), and got to choose from over (approximately) 100-400 different options, or choose a base trim and be done with it, OR, chose a base trim, and add things to that base trim. You could make the car as basic as a Model A, or as complex as a 2014 Chevy Impala... without all the computer such-not. Sorry, you get no smart-phone and/or blue-tooth in 1940-1969, all you get is a car-phone, which is a house-phone installed in your car with a big, fat, antenna sticking off the back of your car. I'd love if the Burnside Special came with that range of options, but sadly, it does not, and just as people usually did in the 1940s and 1950s, I'm just going to deal with it the way it is.

By the way, this is what happens when you throw a Burnside Special "Lead Sled" (stock option of it, no editing), off of a cliff. It becomes a VERY sad Burnside Special. (At least it won't catch fire.) I'm thinking of dragging it out and trying to fix it... or at least see if it runs; which I hightly doubt it will.

    Jesus wall of text.

Anyways, got the sunburst prerunner suspension almost dialed, right now it can handle about 90kph on most of jungle forest's trails except the absolute unmarked ones. and 100+KPH on the small curves and jumps, soon I think I may actually start modelling parts for it. (Antennas, Custom trunk with cooling fans installed. Small front bashbar that connects to skid plate to prevent damage to internals, Side exhaust because the full rear one can't handle the abuse.

I have to agree that I would like to be able to change the interior color separately from the body color.

And, (this may be mentioned already) I think a 6 cylinder should be an option for it. especially seeing as how this is a 53, And the only Proper modern OHV V8 that I can think of in 53 was the Buick 322. While most cars would have had straight sixes.

Still, either way I love the hell out of this car.
