I hope my key doesn't get banned because I have a dynamic IP and it changes every once in a while.

    :/

Your key will not be banned just because you installed on a different computer or your IP changed, don't worry :)

Well, I mean, it's not like you have an algorithm set-up that detects how many times a key is used, or do you? xD

If it's for your own personal use you're fine.

You can install it on as many computers as you want as long as it's for your own use. If you want a friend to have it, by the rules they'd need to buy their own copy.

I installed BeamNG on my laptop yesterday for when i'm not home, used my key which i used on the desktop, now as i understand, this is perfectly fine, but i'm still a bit worried that i might inadvertently trigger the system into thinking the key has been shared because it will detect that i'm updating the client from 2 different IP addresses, as the laptop will be on a 3G connection when i'm not home. Am i still OK?

You can share the key with anyone, just as long as you're not distributing it or making it so that the company loses support. It's a trust based system for now.
