    Small Island Rally Challenge/Coovargo's Challenge.

Let's get serious. Here's how it will work. The time will start will be the moment the vehicle passes the thin, tall tree to the right of the bridge. In order to be qualified you must:

Complete 3 Laps as fast as you can. I don't care if all that's left crossing the finish line is the driver's seat, you just have to get past the finish line.
Record/Post a video. I recommend you leave sound on so the engine and tires can be heard, that way your time should not be disputed.
Do to remove any vehicle components, such as doors, hoods, bumpers. You may change them to anything, I.E, transmissions, turbos, etc. You can lose all the pieces you want from collisions during the race.
Do not modify any Jbeam files (Namely engine, transmission, tires, steering, suspension). I require that the challenge be completed as the developers designed the vehicles. If I notice your vehicle is operating outside the realms of physics I will not post your time.

If you get a top time I will post your time and video below! ;)

A few people on here complain that the driving physics aren't realistic, the crashes aren't right, tires don't hold traction right, suspension is too bouncy, and vehicles are too hard to drive. Here are some videos to set the record straight. The physics are as real as it gets. It takes nerves of steel to handle this track in a fair amount of time. Great job everyone at BeamNG.

    Update: 8/27/13
    I've updated times above.

I've recently been in a car accident where I was rear ended at 40mph. (8/19/13) The damage to the vehicle was much less than I expected, actually completely on par with the damage would be received getting rear ended in this simulator. The vehicle that rear ended me was a 2001 Infinity 4DG20. My vehicle was a 2006 Saturn Ion.

It was raining hard, and there were 5 cars in front of me, and I had left a 10 foot gap. I looked in my rear view mirror and there were no cars behind me. The light turned green, and I glanced in my rearview mirror, and saw a car about two hundred feet back, moving at the rated speed for the road. I looked up at the light, and it was green, and the vehicle in front of me started to move. I took my foot off the brake, and coasted forward, I looked in my rear view, and the vehicle was now 60 feet from me. I put my foot over the brake, anticipating them to not slow down. As soon as I was sure, I pressed it as hard as I could and yanked the E-brake as soon as they were less than 15 feet from me, less than one quarter of a second from impact. I skidded to a stop less than two feet from the car in front of me. As a result of the accident I can't move my neck or move my back due to over-extension of ligaments and muscle, and I have a broken rib from the seatbelt, as well as a sprained left wrist from where my hand slipped off the steering wheel and mashed the dashboard. I was taken to the hospital by ambulance and I had my wife and a friend in the car.

The vehicle went under my bumper and directly hit the frame and tore the muffler off, while lifting the back tires off the ground. Since they didn't hit the bumper, there was no additional time for energy to be released over the course of the impact, and also, my neck didn't hit the headrest because I was too busy staring in horror at my rearview mirror, with my head slightly to the right of my headrest. As a result I was the most injured of all the occupants. The driver of the other vehicle was too busy texting on their phone to notice traffic backed up.

Please drive safely, and please don't text on your cell phone. My first auto accident.

How did I do it? Just took practice. I finally got a chance to upload some crashes to youtube attempting to do this. Here's the video below:

This makes up about 25% of the crashes. I can run laps with a much higher success rate than when I started.

I actually use an Xbox 360 controller for... Well, maximum control. I have a logitech steering wheel but I can't turn it fast enough. I just use it for fun.

Lol that's the exact same thing I was doing today, except I was driving the standard Covet, but too bad I only recorded 1 lap. :(
Maybe I'll make another one doing 3 laps.

I can tell the physics have NOT been touched to do this cause yesterday i found perfect settings for my DFGT steering wheel and i can do about 3/4 of a lap as fast as you can then I crash tho... and today I am so sore from playing golf for the first time that i can't try again for video footage.

Jesus man i cant match you. I am using the 1ZZE swap with a turbo though to make it harder. i cant even make a full lap without wrecking.

Edit: Uploading a 6GB video to youtube right now. I'll post my run on here when it finishes. I love this challenge :D

Right now I'm trying to do it in a Gavril Grand Marshal but the sports Suspension seems a bit more shallow than I'd like it. I can't take it over the jumps so I have to slow down for grade changes (Driving down the bridge) and air unless I want my steering screwed completely. I'm still going to finish it stock.

Update: Definitely is not as easy as I had thought with the Grand Marshal. The front end breaks when I correct too fast. Not going to modify it though. Will have to adjust and keep trying. I'm sure they'll make it a bit stronger later on. The Civetta Bolide does the same thing but, it seems to hate me a lot more than the grand marshal does in regard to this issue I have.

Heres my attempt, was doing fine till the end.

I used the Ibishu Covet with the 1ZZE Turbo swap. Fun setup. Rally suspension made cornering a lot tighter.

I posted earlier but I guess it didn't make it. You did pretty good, in the beginning it looked like you messed up your alignment a little when you bumped into the bridge. Staying on the asphalt definitely seems to have a lot more traction. I don't get too far usually once I get all my wheels off the road. Seems that you're using the Dynamic Steering, the only reason I don't use it is because for it to work there has to be some damping, therefore some delay, which causes me a lot of problems when trying to do some tricky steering. I have it 1:1 input right now with my xbox controller. To disable you just do shift+B. For the Grand Marshal right now I have to be careful not to swing the steering too fast otherwise the entire front end explodes. I never had that issue on the Covet.

Freemake has a video conversion software that seems to be legitimate and free.

Alright thanks bud for the pm I'll look into it.

Edit: I have another run I did i'm currently doing some edits and converting but when I have it uploaded ill post it on here. I did a stock class run. Stock motor no turbo with the full rally suspension and sport tires. I removed the exhaust because i noticed on some bumps it would catch. I did one lap and timed a perfect 2 minute run. I can do better probably a 1:55 at best. Had a couple little slip ups.

Finally got it with Gavril Grand Marshal.

After I finish the 3 necessary laps I drive without any regard for my cars condition. The video ends with me snapping the drivers side wheel due to pulling the steering wheel too fast.
