Beamng has a very sim like nature. The think is Motorcycle riding is insanely difficult to do right in game, or so i read.

There is a motorcycle mod and I think this is something best handled by modders. Due to driving / racing games having a single steering input while bikes in reality are controlled by 2 with both lean and steering being used to balance the bike. I feel no game will ever replicate riding accurately so it's better the devs not have to deal with people complaining about this inherent problem.
The only exception I have ever seen is arcade bike games where both lean and steering inputs are taken from a replica bike controller.

i had a theory for this. you add hydros that steer front wheels, then then you add hydros that would simulate a person leaning. i tried it, but didnt get far due to suspension being to bouncy. i should try again sometime.

Bikes should be added in the later future as an in game vehicle.
Crash Physics- parts flying around and falling off the bike.
The bikes should be based on bikes which are real.
Controls should be normal and when turning in a fast pace you lean closer to the ground.
Low pace= partly leaning to the side turning.

Most mods which are of motorcycles are Russian and may have viruses or problems such
as the Ducati Fcr 900 which is technically uncontrollable. When I downloaded this mod I
Saw that they named it Frc, That doesn't exist. The bike they made was based on the
-FCR- 900 bike. I recommend that bikes should still be added.

Going off your profile pic I'm guessing you ride so I want to raise another issue with adding bikes to the game, countersteering.

I have no idea how you could make the controls work so you can turn the bars right to turn right without first having to flick the bars left to induce lean. Other games with bikes don't have an issue with this as they don't simulate gravity, momentum and centripetal acceleration the way BeamNG does.

In the video, at the end it states that motorcycling is dangerous. I would reply to the person and say that it is not dangerous, cars are putting bikers at risk as cars are not looking around for motorcyclists. People in cars are not being aware enough. In Australia I tend to see a lot of people on their phones texting (mostly women). Can't they wait? Texting while driving is more of a problem then DUI (driving under influence) as people who text while driving are being distracted and not concentrating on the road or what's in front of them. Motorcyclists are being KILLED by unlawful drivers in their cars. Riding a bike is safe but if you were to come to bike verse car, the car would win because it is bigger. It doesn't matter if your excellent or not at riding a bike, a car will come and kill you. I think there should be more ads and information about texting and driving more than drink driving. Texting while driving is the biggest problem on the road. 6 times more likely to cause an crash then drink driving.

I ride too but I would argue riding is much more dangerous as the outcome is generally much worse for a rider in a single vehicle incident. While ignorant drives pose a major risk to riders (I have been hit before) motorbikes are inherently more dangerous as no matter the cause of the accident you don't have a nice metal cage around you. I have put a car into a drain at 60 and I have put a bike into a drain at 60, I didn't need to take a week off work when I was in the car.

I would disagree, because that is like saying 'Going to War is not dangerous, people are putting others at risk by shooting at them.' With motorcycles, you cannot get rid of other people on the road, and there will always be a chance for error, from either party, so the danger is always there, meaning that riding a motorcycle is dangerous.

This thread isn't to further your agenda on educating people in regards to how all car drivers are oblivious jerkoffs and how the roads should be used exclusively by totally responsible and skilled riders that never, ever cause harm to themselves purely by virtue of being on a motorcycle, and that travelling at 70km/h protected literally by nothing while asphalt and hard objects whizz by isn't asking for it.

    Anyway.

There was a proof of concept in RoR of a motorcycle which had functionally wide tyres which kept it upright while at low speed. You'd turn left by moving the handlebars right, inducing a lean as stated above, which, due to the castor of the handlebars steering fork created a steering force that kept the bike upright while turning it slightly as a side effect. There's a great Smartereveryday video somewhere on the physics behind this phenomenon.

You can end people using their phones while driving by putting advertisements out there. It will cut the amount of people being killed and accidents happening on the road by a lot. Texting while driving can be prevented if people choose to follow it. +Fines could be expanded in cost which would decrease the amount of people texting while driving by a lot as people wouldn't want to pay a big amount. Just think about it- Is the text really worth someone's life?

Erm, my post had nothing to do with phones... It was about how there was always risk from both parties. Both people in cars and bikes can be distracted, act stupidly, etc, leading to an accident.

The part where you said,"get rid of other people on the road" made me talk about people on their phones as it wouldn't remove people from the roads but add more safety to the roads.

How can someone who is 2 years away from being allowed on the road (supervised!) have any say on how to fix a problem that hasn't been properly solved by any country's government so far? People are easily distracted; there was a road toll before the mobile phone was so ubiquitous. I nearly died because someone rear ended my parent's car at highway speed when mobile phones were the size of dictionaries. Phone usage certainly contributes to crash statistics, but is far from being the primary factor.

Stop making a fool of yourself, and stop dragging this thread off-topic.
