How is it? People use the same card as me and they've told me its great. They also use a very similar processor as me.
You may have a good graphics card on order mate but that CPU may be a bottleneck for you...saying its at 3.5Ghz means nothing its how fast the processor, Its the number of instructions per second that counts... I am remembering what I was taught about computers years ago at High School to remember its not all about clock speed its about the amount of processes per second your cpu can handle
My cpu and the gtx 970 run great together! Many people have the same set up as me and get 30-70 fps on beamng running high settings. They also get at least 45fps on ultra games. --- Post updated --- Mines pretty good. Processor games run at over 90fps for me. --- Post updated --- Mines not bottlenecking, I found a tool and it told me if my cpu was bottlenecking and it wasn`t.
FPS isnt a good measure of a CPUs performance, what you are telling me is that your graphics card is doing nothing....thats wrong, your Graphics card is giving you 90FPS not your CPU which couldnt even get what a fraction of that
Mines pretty good. Processor games run at over 90fps No Minecraft runs on a cpu not a gpu. Thats why I get over 90fps on medium settings. --- Post updated --- My radeon 200 series is cheap and can`t run most games on low settings.
Are you telling me that Minecraft is similar to BeamNG Drive....jeez....BeamNG Drive is an entirely different animal....
Thanks for your Words of wisdom, I needed someone else to make the point to this guy that his 3.5Ghz OCed processor would be a bottleneck with the 970 hes trying to buy...
My cpu has 3.5ghz and I currently have a radeon 200 series. If I upgrade to a Nvidia GTX 970 will my game stop lagging?
No, Beam is more of a CPU intensive game.. you can have the best GPU there is and have still low FPS because you have a low end processor..
So not only do I have to buy that, I need a better processor? --- Post updated --- I have done that! I get 14fps I was told I need a new graphics card.
14fps paused or unpaused? if paused then yes your current gpu is restrictive (which we knew). But your cpu is restrictive too. Your psu may be restrictive to gpu/cpu upgrades. In essence, welcome to why nobody buys prebuilts
I get 60fps paused and unpaused but I lock my fps because my monitor cannot keep up with my new system, without the limiter I am well over 100fps Seriously do you have any idea how....daft that sounds....I am trying to be polite...
I am actually going to give up with buying stuff and build my own pc, but i`m too poor and I can only afford a gtx 970, so I`m going to give up and play rigs of rods and minecraft until I earn enough money from my parents (there the only games that don`t lag) Or just play my ps4.
