your pc is amazing!, you should use shadowplay, works well and has a low performance hit

I can record 4K 60fps with shadowplay, using almost the same specs as you (exept cpu, i have a 5930K 4.5Ghz)
So yeah, you will be able to record 30fps no problem(using shadowplay).

@JollyontheNet great video, fps is a little low tho, but overall, i like it.

    BeamNG.drive 4K 60fps.

Haha I know but I have such limited time....I wish I had more time....

I know definitely Shadow Play is the way to go how are the file sizes I need that to consider as well :)

Haha I know, on my old pc I had storage problems galore I tried recording on there and I always ran out of space I didnt use compression like I would now and since I have the CPU and GPU horsepower now I think my video editing days will come back to me at a very basic level, very basic 1080p30fps videos will do :) I dont have the money for the Adobe stuff

I have twin 4TB drives I may eventually go up for another 2 drives I have room for it, I have my old twins from Juno8 (my previous computer) that was two 500GB drives, but now I have 8 times the storage its incredible :)

There's also different bitrates... Higher bitrates = larger files and (possibly) better detail.
It's not just as simple as resolution and FPS.

The defaults for ShadowPlay (at least for me) are:
    Low: In-game resolution, 60 FPS, 15 Mbps
    Medium: In-game resolution, 60 FPS, 22Mbps
    High: In-game resolution, 60 FPS, 50Mbps

    Then there's Custom...
    You can choose:
    In-game resolution, 2160p 4K, 1440p HD, 1080p HD, 720p HD, 480p or 360p
    30 or 60 FPS
    10 to 130 Mbps

I would love to go for 1080p30 setup not a 1080p60 setup because I am unsure on file sizes for safety I am going with the 30fps setup

I believe that if you made an identical video using the same bitrate but different framerates, they'd be the same size anyway. Bitrates make the filesize higher, not the framerate.

This video was recorded using Custom: In-game resolution (1080p for me), 60 FPS, 30 Mbps.
It ended up being 1.25 GB.

I know I can do 60fps but yeah I may try it when I can find the time between work and rugby and stuff....find the time to sit down and record a monster high speed run on the Desert Speed track and I am good I may put the Shadow play to medium settings, then I will if I feel brave enough push it to High :)

I kinda wonder what my 4TB drives are rated at....I never really checked :(

I checked I have E:/ giving me 2.5MB/s thats my Apps drive so I wont be using that

My Backup F:/ drive is giving me over 200MB/s so recordings on there I suspect :)
