    Hey all!

I just downloaded the tech-demo for the game. And because I have a R9 390, I thought, I could choose highest settings possible.

But even without AA and the other thing, I get heavy frame-drops... is that a problem with my GPU or only with the game itself, because it's only a demo?

That should be more than enough for BeamNG Drive, what memory do you have?

16 GB of RAM. And the GPU has 8GB... that should not be the problem.

As I stated earlier, it was "only" the TechDemo... can this be the problem?

GTAV works on nearly highest settings... only JC3 makes problems, but that's normal for this game. ^^

What do you mean by "heavy frame drops"? 20 FPS? I mean, an R9 390 should be able to handle it with no problem whatsoever. Try tweaking with the settings a bit, and the fact that you are using the Techdemo could probably be a problem either, since it's based on an old version of the game.

i dont think we will have performance that reflects our hi end builds until they figure out how to offload some of the physics calculations to the GPU. all issues are cpu related at this time, and its not going to be an easy thing to fix. we might just need to wait till the new hardware comes out in 6 to 8 months and that will double your frames or at least give you a nice boost.

But I just upgraded my rig. 2 months ago. :D

I now tried using MSI Afterburner to see stats. It seems, that my graphics-card won't put its clock high enough. Its only at about 500-600 Mhz. In Heaven Benchmark, I have the full 1040 Mhz... ^^

I think, it should be DX11.

Ignore him, hes clueless again. DX9 wont run the game at all. Still, go download DX11 from the microsoft site, install it. Install GPU drivers. Check windows is in high performance mode and that BeamNG is set to use your GPU rather than the onboard graphics (it should say in game which GPU it is using)

Found it... Don't know, if that was the solution. Works better, but not as good as I thought it would be.

DX11 comes at a later version than the Demo is... that's the problem. ^^

Yeah, the demo runs DX9 only. Its a pretty terrible judge of the actual game at the moment and should probably be updated.

The game in its current state is alot better than it was even back at the time of the latest demo, your rig will have no real issues with running the game maxed out.

So best buy the game and then you will get more FPS as a result of the game running DX11
