Just noticed your post. Well, say we're talikng about the bestt possible gaming PC as of 2004, then you want it with everything the market gives you. 64-bit was released one year later, as you just said, so it would've made sense to buy a 64-bit system so you could upgrade later. And now someone buy this stuff.I'm interested what it would cost as of now, I mean, either it's worthless or totally expensive because there are so little of those things left. EDIT: I think our specs now are: - AMD Athlon 64 FX-53 - Global Win WBK38 (CPU cooler) - GeForce 6800 Ultra - Gigabyte GA-K8NNXP-940 (that's a motherboard) - 3-4x Samsung HD300LJ - No idea for the PSU, maybe a Q-Tec PSU ATX 350WP LOW NOISE
The FX-55 was better, though. FX CPUs were also dual core. Future proofing. Socket A was dead, 939 was not, and 64-bit would become very useful in the next few years. Also, this is best gaming pc, not best value gaming pc.
