Very unlikely. Which doesn't mean that it's bad. It's old hardware that may suck more energy than current hardware, but it's a nice CPU.

Ha, the single core performance compared to the FX doesn't surprise me
The i5 2400 is a decent CPU, I still have it in my Dell workstation. Only thing I had to do was upgrade the GPU. Intel HD 3000 is really crap compared to todays standards.
New PSU should be 50$ (I think) for a decent -new- one from Cooler Master or related brand.

 

I'd always go straight for Corsair, they always have one PSU that is cheap but good, and one that is extremely efficient and - of course - expensive. In this situation, the cheap one would be the Corsair VS350, which is around $35 or so...

 

VS series isn't very good, should get at least a CX. They're not great but good enough for budget builds.

Third time asking: How much will it improve cooling performance to screw two Arctic F12 PWMs on a Hyper 212 Evo? They're quite cheap, but they move 74 CFM.

 

aren't the f12s airflow optimised rather than pressure. You want pressure for heat sinks

 

Yeah, that's why I'm asking. I know very little about heatsinks and what radiators I should use for them.
EDIT: I found that so called Scythe Slip Stream SY1225DB12SH. It has an air pressure of 2.3 millimeters. Is that good? Also, I might be going too cheap on the fans. I don't want to throw so much money on keeping my expensive parts from melting themselves apparently.

 

Does it matter? Who cares about Win 10.

Get dual Corsair SP120's. They aren't too expensive, they're quiet and really good. Also look great and have white, blue and red rings you can swap to match your rig.

 

Chose the case variant that has two more fans instead of a window. Also found a double-pack for €34.37 on Amazon. Alright, thanks!

 

For a CPU cooler make sure they're the PWM version. DC fans will work but have less accurate RPM control so they're louder.

Also, what case?

 

A Sharkoon VG4-V. It's okay. Also, I think i is the PWM, it's called the "Quiet Version"... SHOULD be the right one.

Also, get the High Performance edition if you can find them for about the same. The only difference is the RPM limit, you can run the HPs at Quiet speed for less noise or higher for better cooling.

Though it clearly isn't te high performance version, it only makes 1450RPM. I'll look for another one, I think.

Just a quick note: All of my Computer Parts are from my Windows XP and I had to upgrade to Windows 7
because I tried modified Windows XP and became slow.
