Wtf? Why was this deleted? I read in Nerd[SUP]3[/SUP]'s Twitter something about a review embargo on a paid alpha, followed closely about some bitching about a video not rendering properly and some (seemingly positive) tweets about BeamNG. Other than a small difference in time these tweets don't have any correlation, but I'm wondering if BeamNG is the embargo'ed alpha, and if that has anything to do with it. If it is, why haven't YouTube videos from people like kurtjmac and LGR been going down? I wonder if there was a misunderstanding on the part of the Wikipedia admin?

Wow, that's such BS. I saw the page before, and it was kinda meh, but it seems the biggest complaint is the lack of sources, which I'm sure could be made up for by somebody going through all the hype-ish content on sites like RPS, YouTube, Twitter, IGN, PCGamer, etc. I think deleting the page without a warning was a little unwarranted, I've seen pages with notes saying the article needs extra citation stay up for some time before getting deleted.

I know about that, it's just that the proximity of the tweets time wise made me suspicious.

It seems that there has been a bit of a debate over whether or not BeamNG is significant enough to warrant its own page.

The thing is, RoR has its own page, and I'm fairly sure that's far less significant than BeamNG. It's been around for much longer, but BeamNG's videos went viral multiple times and has likely sold thousands upon thousands of copies. If that's not significant then I don't know what is.

If tdev said that he has no problem with people making money from BeamNG videos, I'm sure that pretty much implies that there's no embargo. Bear in mind that Nerdcubed plays a lot of alpha games. Could've been anything from Payday 2 to Overgrowth.

Does anyone know if it can go up again? Or is the page in purgatory for ever? Kind of bullshit, their are thousands of things on Wikipedia that are way less significant. I think a group of people attacked the page and voted for it's deletion, I never saw this happen with a page like this before.

It seems the page was structured poorly, a bunch of people voted for deletion claiming it was a propaganda page because it lacked significant citations and was created by an account that hadn't done anything else on Wikipedia.

I saw the page before it was deleted and by then it was edited heavily, and was structured really well. IT also had at least 10 Citations IIRC

It seems some admin dirtbag thought that BeamNG wasn't notable enough, but some people said keep it, though. In the end,...

Wait a minute. The page for BeamNG on Wikipedia is titled BeamNG.drive. It appears BeamNG has mention on Wikipedia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BeamNG.drive is still up, if you want to be extra correct then they might have seen that there is a lot info about the game ".drive" but not so much info about the actual company "BeamNG". So the game is still up because of a lot of coverage whilst the company got deleted because of lacking second sources.
