Basically what cars you you think would become future classics and why. EG and ek civic I think this would become a future classic because they make good track cars plus the popularity of them.
Miata time! I'd post a 1st generation miata (NA), but it already has such a cancerous fanbase (even more if you consider the stance culture) that it's just gonna be an object of hatred in the future. Already sorta is now. The one in this picture, the NB (or 2nd gen) however, is completely unmolested, like most of them are. This is a car that luckily doesn't attract the same horrible trends as the 1st gen miata.
Hell yeah. Usdm Integra type r goes for 40k usd already. The 92 to 2000 civic is a people's classic. Miata for sure because try to find a better sports car for under 3k. I think most lotus cars will age well.

This car has gone from classic to "that car from the japanese cartoon". Most people like this because they think it's magical like it is in the show, but it's really just a cheap economy sports car. This is what the Subaru BRZ or Scion FR-S would have been in the 80s: a platform. You buy this car with the intention of modifying it, because despite the lack of performance in its stock form, it has great potential that can be unlocked with a few tools and some elbow grease. Toyota Corolla AE86: the tortilla of cars.

I personally think or my dad does anyway that 90s suvs would become classics as there doesn't seem to be many of them around (in New Zealand anyway especially ford explorers)
No cars will be. They will all be dead. With all of the new technology that companies put in cars today, they could never be started up after 30 years in a barn shed in the future. You will never get the toughness of mid to late 20th century cars. Just look at this This will be impossible in the future as a cause of all of the modern tech. Plus, plastic doesn't age very well... If I had to pick one it would be the Porsche 944 because the price of that one is on the rise, and once old Porsches rise in value, they never come back down.Plus, it doesn't fit in with the Porsche rear engine family
Right. A Porsche is cheapest 7 years after it was built. It's still about 2/3 of the inital price then, though. After that, it's set to slowly rise again, as the cars get rarer one by one. Old 956 (my favorite) and first-gen 911s are already as expensive if not more than when they were sold, as far as I know.
They are truly beautiful cars. But the repair bills and good ol' porsche reliability (i kid) they aren't practical. I've always wanted to do an LS1 swap with a 944 though. Fixes the power and reliability problems
JS1 swap? Why a V8? Not that a Porsche exhaust wouldn't sound gorgeus with that, but it'd sound a bit off at the beginning.
the 924s (944 engine in a lighter better chassis) is easily one of the best handling cars ive ever driven. perfect balance unlike the 911s.
Yeah, the V8 is a sort of strange choice, but it is the most popular one. There are some videos on YouTube of them, and a couple websites that have the conversion kits, but it does sound weird. That sound should be coming out of the back of a muscle car, not a sports car. For $2,000 (USD) though, how can you go wrong?
Well, I can imagine the 911's balance should be a lot better with AWD. Also, some people seem to like their cars oversteery. Congratiulations to winning at life so hard that you have driven multiple old Porsches yet. Also, someone who can do a swap should also be able to play around with the muffler a little to make it match up with the old sound more. At least as far as that's possible with a like 4-liter LS1 V8.
