I have an asus rog, with a nividia gtx 750, 8gb of ddr3 ram, intel i5 4460 3.2hrz. when i load grid map i get 55-65 fps, that sounds normal but when i load a new car my fps drops about 10, i load a new car and it is down to around 30- it has gotten down to 16 and the only way to fix this is to restart the game and then it just does it again

I'm running a Asus rog with a nvidia gtx 765m, 16gb of ram, intel 17-4700HQ @ 2.40Ghz and i get around 45 fps with 1 car and then 30 with 2, maybe try putting your graphics to "Custom and messing around with lowing some of your settings. Your really do need a beast pc to run this game good

Stop. Your advice is literally just buy more stuff. You have a £2000 PC. We get it. Not everyone can afford that kind of hardware. OP has a decent gaming PC.

Either give some actual advice (eg what to buy *on a budget*) or stop posting.

OP: GPU bottleneck. Torque3D (BeamNG's graphics engine) is not well optimised and requires a very powerful graphics card to run well (a GTX 970 barely gets 60fps on high settings).

Try lowering graphics settings. Disable dynamic reflections, they look pretty but are very expensive especially with multiple vehicles.

Once you spawn >4 cars, you might have fps drops caused by the physics engine (i5 is a quad core, beam does 1 car/thread, >4 cars and it has to do more than 1 per thread which has a huge impact on performance).

You should upgrade your GPU if you can, though. The 750 is the absolute minimum for 1080p gaming.

Check GPU usage while playing, a recent driver update might be causing issues. Make sure your drivers are up to date. If they aren't, update them. If they are, roll back to the last known good version (latest version from before the issues started).

That doesnt change the fact that no normal person (financially wise, at least here) will EVER hold that much money in there hands, nor be able to spend them on something like a PC.

Not the point. I couldn't care less how much you spent or how overkill your PC is. You're not being helpful by just telling people to spend more money they might not even have.

And quite honestly I'm getting sick of you showing off your specs all over the forums - there are threads for that. We know you have a good PC and a lot of money. Nobody cares. Stop.

Now could we stop hijacking the thread, people need help not pointless arguments.

I recently had the same problem as OP can't remember what I did to fix it, lemme guess changing cars and adding/ removing parts makes your FPS drop? I think clearing the cache is what fixed it for me. Other than that try re installing your graphics drivers and such.

    *Off topic*

Guys, please... My PC is clearly OP. It only dies every week!
