In Denmark we have an ISP that is extremely good at upgrading their provided speed's over coax, i bought 300Mbit/s from them about 3 months ago, and today they are rolling out 500/60 DOWN/UP, it is slightly more expensive tho but not unreasonable, on top of that their service is really nice. @eeEtilt Nope, its provided over coax
Download speeds are between 40-45Mbps and upload is pretty consistent between 11-12Mbps. There is not much day to day fluctuation in these speeds.
Not the best upload, but good download speed for where i live, since people with BT and Sky around me get about 15 down and 1 up --- Post updated --- Also here's what I get on 3G:
I always read stories about people complaining about their download speeds being below 6mb/s and just wonder how they could be complaining about speeds like that. The best speed I ever recorded on my home network was 800kb/s. On a good day I usually get 300kb/s with a ping of 300 or above.
Not to bring the thread off topic but, I thought since this thread is about speed, (that this should fit in) we should add in the price we pay for X package. ( if you want to) i'll start, so currently I have 200 mbps down and 25 up package and we pay $150 USD a month. Oceanic time warner cable.
on virgins 100 down 6 up and something is not right, im getting about 4 mbps down and it wont test my upload, virgin normally has rubbish upload though --- Post updated --- might i add that my ping is up to 1200ms (1.2 seconds) and i cant watch a 240p video smoothly, so i have to watch in 144p
90usd for 10gigs at that speed... Not even in California no clue why it says I am. -edit- and I hit the cap...ffs
