Re: [WIP] Grid2 - Unrealistic nonsense It's not possible to add textures as shown on the render below, the material editor of the game lacks cubic projection.. I could give everything basic colors, but then i would have to make a singe object out of everything with the same color. Anyway, added a smaller spiral which is angled so you can drive faster through it, i think it's too steep to get up though. A little jump, and some other things I should mention that i have not updated the map yet

Re: [WIP] Grid2 - Unrealistic nonsense Updated the map, changelog in the OP. It now has colors! But textures not possible. Let me know if you still get the no material thing. There may also be some collision problems as a result of the way i have applied the colors but i didn't notice anything when i tried it

Well that's it for me then, i don't know if every game engine is so difficult to work with but this is just ridiculous Work on this map will be discontinued but thanks for all the positive feedback

Re: [WIP] Grid2 - Unrealistic nonsense I don't know for sure but my guess is Babylon 5. -Update- Can't you assign materials to the model inside the editor? My habits are in programming so I looked for some test models. http://ourbricks.com/khronos/colladarepository has some models, I tried the "Multiple Material (Triangulate)" cube and it works I'm going to try the Polylist version right now. Not sure why but shade of blue is a tad different.
Re: [WIP] Grid2 - Unrealistic nonsense You can but they will not be saved. I'm not sure what you are talking about but i assume polylist is some sort of application of materials on specific polygons? In any case, the editor lacks cubic projection so if i would like the materials to not stretch in some direction i would have to create uv maps for the entire thing which is practically impossible

I opened up that test model I found in notepad, two things of interest. 1) apparently somebody from Sony posted that test model. Never heard of SCEA Shared License 2) <authoring_tool>Maya 7.0 | ColladaMaya v2.01 Jun 9 2006 at 16:08:19 | FCollada v1.11</authoring_tool> But yea in the .dae file this model specifies that its using materials. I currently have the August 10th version of the map, and in there. Loop-r20.dae only has one material in the COLLADA same with Megajump.dae Looks like modo701 might not export materials? Can the trial for that program export COLLADA files? I've downloaded the newest version but I will have to look at it tonight (Mountain Standard Time here)
