thank you so much for this. used to watch the ROR monster truck videos all the time so having an actual monster truck in beam is very nice
I really hope this mod develops more, because it has a lot of potential. It would be bad ass if it could have like 10 different shells you can choose from and different suspension/differentials and steering options.
a few things that can make this mod better: 1. a more powerful motor 2. 4 wheel steering 3. stronger wheels (i am on 2 wheels trying to save it (did it on purpose) and the front wheel breaks off)
Another thing is the suspension is weak. Doing a jump bends it, so the truck rides sideways. It's a fabulous truck though!
Excellent mod but I have a few suggestions: 1. The wheels are flimsy as hell and break from just about everything. They probably should be a bit stronger. 2. I know its a WIP but it would be cool to have different bodies of actual trucks. 3. Most monster trucks have AWS so that would improve this mod.
hmm... I was browsing through the files and in windows 10 with the 3d application I saw that the truck had a shell... but it doesn't in-game... possible future update? (maybe easter egg?) here's a screenshot using the "game capture"
i love this so far! i can't wait to see this finished, and not so easily breakable. only issues i have noticed in the hour and a half i have used it is sh*t frame rate( thanks to my old and crappy gpu), the tires break off very easily and in the first person view the engine sounds cut in and out. still love this very much so far!
Well, this could easily be added, im sure i could do it in about a day. BUT!! Its easily noticeable that the model isnt done/still needs to be worked on a bit. The car is very nice and i love this monster truck in BeamNG, if it would be possible to add move shells, i would be more then happy to make the jbeam for them. As of today, im not going to make the jbeam for the shell. I might look more into it tomorrow. If some of you are interested, we could try to take models from the official cars and put them on this truck as a small lightweight "shell" If its ok with the author, i would like to make the jbeam for this shell, im not going to start tonight, maybe tomorrow, depends if i have school or not. (possible storm)
Great news just got permission from gecko to give permission to all who want to put work forward on this he has quit working on it so you guys have full range to do whatever you want to this truck and release it of course give credit where credit is due
so any luck on anything? --- Post updated --- i am having fun with this thing link link link link link link
This thing is really old, I think from right around when BeamNG first came out. Interest in it was lost, so the testing settings stayed. I don't think it's been touched until now. I played around with the settings once, but I lost that file.
