F12 is the screenshot button in Steam. So it isn't as pixelated and you can actually see what's on the screen lol
2/20/2016;~Version 10~!!!! | ETK's GPS and AI Working! New Hillclimb added. We've also cracked over 60 miles of roads! The ETK's GPS is functional with adding decal roads that have been hidden from your view. Sort of by accident, AI was able to work by doing this! Added an 8 mile long hillclimb area with lots of attention to detail. ON AI: AI works but the system is kind of crappy IE it likes to stop in the middle of the road and do nothing. Nothing I can do, it probably works most of the time. I built a garage for loading up the flat beds. This is helpful: This update features some of the most attention to detail I've put into a smaller area so I hope you think it shows Thank you all so, so much for sticking with this for it's 10 versions now! 2 years later and it's still very popular and I'm so happy I can let you guys enjoy this concept that has been brought to life. I love you all! Download on first post.
iheartmods updated Desert Highway Version 10: GPS, AI, 60+ Miles! with a new update entry: Version 10! GPS, AI, 60+ Miles! Read the rest of this update entry...
great map, issues that I have noticed are: vehicle shadows jump/ skip/ flicker (fixed by raising settings to normal) sky map/ textures jump/ skip/ flicker (didn't fix by setting adjustment)
the skymap flicker seems to happen on some graphics cards and some setings, it happens on leap of death too just go into the map editor and delete it
ok, i'll take it! --- Post updated --- I can confirm, some AMD cards do this. I went with nVidia for compatbility.
Can you make that huge grey bridge over a big canyon that has the very low cross braces at the entrance and exit, have braces that can Carolina Canopen the box truck?
I can confirm, some AMD cards do this. I went with n Uh..no. That would really defeat it's "realistic" purpose. You could do it very easily though, it is just a mesh road by definition. Would only take some moving.
The skid lag is really bad on my system, it literally goes from 55-60 to 5fps, nice map, like the hill climbs, the night runway looks fantastic!
its somewhere in the map editor, just look for something like "skid decals" or something like that on the side menu
There's nothing you can do. If you want no flickering you have to delete all placed mesh objects. It's an unfortunate side effect of having such a large map that the game's engine is not designed to run...like at all. I've messed about with decal biases but nothing fixes it. I'm going to investigate this.
I went into the world editor and deleted the large road damage that looked like the black skid marks. It did not help.
It is called "DecalManager". --- Post updated --- I don't think there's a way to get that into the mission file. If I knew I would, this plagues my experience too. --- Post updated --- I don't think there's a way to get that into the mission file. If I knew Open Terrain editor, Press Alt + V, go to the select tab, find DecalManager and click it, there should be a no symbol next to it.
