For those of you who can't always fly 24/7, we have flight simulators. Share your stories about X-Plane, FSX, or the like.
I was working on a project called the "EADT x737" for X-Plane for about two years, if any of you guys use X-Plane, I highly recommend it... and it's freeware, so there is that. [/shameless product placement]
I use X-Plane pretty much exclusively. I believe I did use your x737 after I learned about it in a forum post on here a while ago. I don't really remember anything about it, but I'm sure it was awesome considering it is still installed.
This is the x737 project, as Pan Am never flew the NG, that would make the livery a "fantasy livery" (albeit a beautiful one).
Until I fix my broken yoke I have some time to think of new GA aircraft (in sim) to get. I'm thinking between: C90 GTX KING AIR HD SERIES and PA23 AZTEC F 250. both by carenado. It was a mistake buying a 777-200ER from CS without knowing how simple machines work. Here's a pic of my current aircraft- Default Baron 58
http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/yoke.html this one. Bought it in October. Wasn't using for two weeks in January. Turns out it doesn't work :/
As I turn it on, it illuminates the clock, turns off, starts showing illegible symbols on itself and shuts dow completely. Maybe I should reinstall the drivers AGAIN (I'm sure I will tomorrow)
X-Plane is my thing. I've had it for two years now, and I use it with my Saitek yoke, rudder pedals, and switch panel. Unfortunately, all those controls are slowly breaking/malfunctioning. If only Saitek didn't rely on cheap Chinese manufacturing....But anyway, I don't really use X-Plane much anymore. Why do that when I'm flying two to three times per week in real life?
Precisely. X-Plane is definitely my thing. The blade physics is so accurate! But my Saitek yoke malfunctioned a long time ago. I didn't even get to use it.
Yes....Saitek is cheap. Although my controllers still serve their purpose for excellent BeamNG controllers!
I finally fixed it! Took a flight on a PC12 aircraft. Flew to some interesting places. Finally I can enjoy flying again! Topic of the yokes: I wish I could buy a Goflight yoke. All metal, no plastic. Best quality, which, unfortunately, you get for 800$. It would also suit the fact I used to fly 777-900ER and 777-200LR in the sim.
Cool stuff! I would really enjoy all-metal controls as well. I'd really like a Redbird FMX though....
Are there any flight sims with a cessna 150? i need to practice landing the 150, i have fsx and xplane 9 (old af).
