Released WentWard Bus Type-C (Front Engine) 9.2

Yeah, me too. Sorry for the off-topic, but I would really like to get this fixed. Back on topic, this is a very good mod. It should be excellent by the time of release when the cockpit gets put in. Will the switches actually move? Because that would be awesome!

 

Still a work in progress, setting up new textures and adding a dashboard!

 

Pros:
-First bus in beamNG drive
-exterior looks good
-realistic engine power
Cons:
-No breakable glass textures
-Needs it's own j beam structure
-Needs a better interior

Yup should be out in about 2-3 days, the only thing im working on now is engine tuning and optimizing some textures also there's a new bus that will be releasing with this one! And now that all the basics for the bus are done I'll be releasing newer versions of it nearly every week!

 

Prison bus?

 

Yup in the works now along with 2 others, but for this release it wont be a prison bus or a mad max bus just yet. The mad max bus will probably be the last release since it will take the most work, oh the ideas i have for the Mad Max bus, i'm sure it wont disappoint

 

don't forget to tweak the jbeam strength
I know it is hard to get specific specs but there are plenty of bus crash tests on the Internet if you look hard enough

 

when you are done can you make something like this please

 

I been trying to figure out what settings are best, itll take alot of tweaking to make it right

yup just started blueprints for that yesterday, will be a while before its out though

 

Hey what about an automatic trans? I've never seen a manual schoolbus.

 

oh and a thought I had
you should make the engine sound do deeper as you get to higher rpms, and possibly ad a fan sound too
a turbo sound would be great too ( I never never seen a not turbocharged bus)
I go over to a school and try to get audio samples if you like

you could add another selectable part that adds the weight of 60 people

 

If you go into the "engine_jbeam," you can change the transmission from manual to automatic. I did so and it worked.

 

Whoa I didn't know busses were turbo charged! I'll have to set that up, I don't know to much about engine setting yet so this release may not include a turbo, the release schedule should be in about 2 days unless irl stuff gets in the way, right now there will be two busses but if I have time there will be a third!

 

Yeah...they're turbo diesels.

 

This is how you drive a school bus
-before the kids get on roll the stop and give the finger to a old person for driving too slow and do not turn on the stop sign
-when they get on hit the damn gas and reach top speed and drive wreckless
-run over a dog and yell "we are taking a different route to school today kiddies" and crash off a bridge!

 

I may have to work this into a scenario!

Im happy to announce the School Bus is done! There may be a release near the end of day today or tomorrow im just working on the Parts Selector section to make sure it works the right way but the bus is done. I wish I could release it now but those issues have to be fixed or it wont be approved for release. Once this bus is released there will be updates and new buses every week or two! Then I will move onto to modding official vehicles for a while because making full conversion mods is strenuous
