heres the minimal specs (my craptops specs) to run the game (well at least the demo) at a reasonable fps but not 20 fps but not 0.1 fps either ram:2048 mb Vcard:mobile intel(R) 965 chipset family integrated cpu:intel (R) core(TM)2 duo CPU T5870 @2GHZ
I think their Wiki does a pretty good job explaining the requirements. http://wiki.beamng.com/Requirements I have some frame rate issues but I am still on a Core 2 Duo. Mainly when spawning more than 2 vehicles. Given I run the game maxed out so the stuttering is my fault. The processor bottlenecks my little setup. I just haven't gotten around to upgrading my motherboard, cpu, and ram. C2D at 3.6 8 gb's ram 6970 2GB
That sounds like the specs of my old Latitude D630. But, this is another pointless thread. People can read the recommended requirements and try the demo for themselves.
While waiting for my new computer to arrive, I am playing the Beamng DRIVE alpha on a computer with 2 GB RAM, 256 Video RAM, and a not-so-good processor. It works for now, but I can only play on lowest settings at about 15 FPS with only one car. On more detailed maps like DRI I can hardly get over 5 FPS.
A laptop is a pc but not a desktop many laptops can outperform some high in desktops you can by a kick-ass $14,000 eagle northwest laptop that will outrun almost any PC
Yeah, for a couple months, until some even crazier shit comes out. Then, you might as well have taken that 14K(14K? You could buy a base model Jap econobox for that money FFS!) and took a lighter to it.
