Thanks for the update Occam! Btw, have you thought of naming releases with some sort of identifier scheme? Just a suggestion as it makes keeping track of the downloads easier.
I want to make the garage's so that the cars can go in them i want to delete the garage doors from the materials list any idea how to do that?
hey i added some lighting and a few roads on to this map if any one wants to try it out? been awhile for an update so thought id make my own xD i think it looks cool at night but still far from done. its also my first map ever modded. what do you think? all credit goes to original poster
Erm.. where did these extra bits of road come from? I swear they weren't there last time I used this map...
Those areas have been in for a while; at least since mid-December. One of the more recent updates eliminated caching dependencies on mods, so perhaps it booted an outdated version of the map from your game. Anyway, I've come back to this project a bit. I never make promises, but I'm moving on to the second district of the map. I'll have something to post soon-ish, but for now all I've got are words.
dude. patience. its not dead. you dont need an update every day, or maybe even every week. For most, modding the game is hobby, not a priority in life.
There's not too much to report. The groundbreaking for the new district is begun, but there's not too much to report*. I'll probably upload a semi-recent copy to my old beta group in the next week (save us both the time; don't ask to be a part of it), but I don't project to have a new public release until midway through March. Edit: *It took me until now to notice that I repeated myself. I'm gonna go get some sleep...
Being a fluent Spanish speaker myself (our family lived in Spain for a couple years), seeing the Mexican restaurant called la habanero when it should be el habanero makes me laugh for some reason.
I think you may need to lower your standards, then. Don't get me wrong: it's an improvement over bumping long-abandoned threads for long-abandoned projects. But most working projects could easily go over three months without any public word from the modder. So, relax. I'm still working, and I don't plan to stop soon. I would be lying if I were to say that was intentional. But, y'know, happy accidents. La Habanero was intended to be that moderately successful mom-and-pop shop, and it shows in the lack of marketing, branding, design, and cultural sensibilities. I like to think it's a restaurant staffed exclusively by people who don't so much as know any latinos personally (perhaps Northern-types, like characters straight out of 'Fargo'). And Spain sounds like a pretty cool place to be, by the way.
